now look at how (((actual rich families))) operate. they don't artificially handicap their kids. they let LIFE provide the high-level hardships (market competition, scaling a business, maintaining legacy), and boost their kids past the McLessons:
>parents build/buy a massive multi-generational estate. Kids & their families live there rent-free, pooling resources, cars, and capital.
>allowances and seed money given freely. The parents fund their kids' businesses instead of charging them rent to live in their childhood bedroom
>nepotism is championed. They call a golf buddy and get their kid a $120k email-job straight out of college to build their resume
>matchmake their kids with other wealthy families, entirely bypassing the degenerate dating scene & keeping wealth consolidated
>trust funds accounts set up at birth. Compound interest does the heavy lifting while the kid still shitting in diapers
>hire elite CPAs so their kids don't make rookie tax/legal mistakes

The funniest thing about Boomers saying the phrase "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" is that, historically, the context behind the statement was used to belittle an impossible request. Like if you were asked to harvest 1000 acres of wheat by noon, you'd say "ya and let me just pull myself up by my bootstraps while I'm at it" because if you could actually pull yourself up by the straps on your boots, you'd just be hovering in mid air a few inches off the ground. Which is, of course, impossible.
