Good risk management means taking the guaranteed 5% or at the very least de risking a portion out of equities 3. Growth stocks get hit hardest. Tech companies valued on profits far in the future look less attractive when money today earns a solid return. 4. It can signal worries. The rise might reflect inflation fears, heavy government borrowing, or expectations that the Fed will keep rates high.
