Discord has a maximum message limitation, please visit the following page for the full notes: https://steamcommunity.com/app/4301100/discussions/0/837249796380068836/ ### Workshop - Browser > You can now browse Steam Workshop from inside EmoteLab, instead of leaving the app to subscribe. ### Export - WebM > Animations can now be exported as WebM, in addition to the existing formats. WebM settings live under Animation Export Settings. ### Custom Texture - Auto-update and Reload Textures (behaviour change!) > Auto-update watches the Custom Texture folder and automatically reload the custom textures after the changes are written to disk. Press the Reload Textures button is no longer needed after every save. > The Auto-update option can be turned on in Custom Texture tab. The toggle is directly above the Reload Texture button. > In general, it is recommended to disable the sync tool on the texture cache folder and use the auto-reload to reload texture. the auto reload function reload changed texture atlas pages only. ### Character Save - Used textures only > The Used textures only option can be turned on in Custom Texture tab. The toggle is at the very bottom below Step 4. > - With it on, the character file stores only the texture regions that character is actually using. Unused alternatives are left out. > - Example: a character has *Brow 1* and *Brow 2* as alternatives. *Brow 1* is selected, you edited that region on the corresponding texture atlas page, and the viewport already shows the change. Saving with Used textures only on stores *Brow 1* only, not *Brow 2*. > - Turn the option off to save every region, which is the old behavior. > This setting does not change character compatibility across different model or software versions. It only changes how much texture data is packed into that save. ### Custom Texture - Backup > EmoteLab now keeps extra copies of your custom textures so a later overwrite is easier to undo. The auto-backup feature is default-on and the setting can be adjusted in settings tab. > A backup is also made when EmoteLab is about to replace the current custom textures, including before loading another character and before Clear Character. All models share that folder. > Timed backups and those “about to overwrite” backups use the same folder. So if you need a copy, it is recommended to recover it right away. ### Character Save - Workflow (behaviour change!) > Character save and load were rebuilt so unsaved work is harder to lose, and so custom textures reset the same way every time. > Unsaved changes are now prompted. These actions ask first: > - Unload Current Model > - Clear Character > - Loading another character > Loading or clearing always starts from a clean texture set. Previously, only a character that used custom textures would replace the files in the Custom Texture folder. ### Models list > Older built-in model versions are hidden by default so they are harder to open by mistake. Older versions stay available if you need them. Under the Models list, next to Unload Current Model, click the history button (clock / package icon) to show historical versions. ### CoffeeBean Model V1.8 Updates > New Animations: Blink 1, Drink (EnergyDrink1), Drink (EnergyDrink2), Hydrate, Lick (IceCream), Lick (Popsicle), Music 1, Music 2, Music 3, Nerd 1, Nerd 2, Nerd 3, Pillow (Lick), Pillow (Rub), Pillow (Rub2), Shy 3, Sparkling 3, Stop, Wiggle 1, Wiggle 2 > New Slider: Glasses Lens Transparency.
