Israel and the UK have reached an agreement on the closure of the British consulate in Jerusalem. The consulate will instead be downgraded to a "UK Mission" and 7 of the 27 diplomatic staff will be allowed to remain and operate at the site. The UK privately threatened to expel 27 Israeli diplomats in retaliation for the original decision. No further measures are expected by the UK in the agreement.

Hurricane Isaias is currently projected to make landfall on the coast of Alabama and western Florida within the next 48 hours.

An overnight Russian ballistic missile attack targeted multiple cities across Ukraine, including Kyiv. The Trypilska Thermal Power Plant was struck, along with several warehouses, while additional unspecified locations in the Kyiv area were also hit. Ukrainian air defenses reportedly intercepted several missiles over the capital during the attack. In Dnipro, the area around the Yuzhmash plant reportedly sustained damage.
