I'm still holding my $HOODBIRD. I still don't understand why so many blockchain founders keep fumbling memecoin opportunities. Memecoins bring volume, liquidity, attention, and retail users. They're often the first thing that gets people on-chain. Embrace them. Let users come for the memes, then naturally rotate into DeFi, RWAs, AI, utility projects, or simply let them keep memecoining. After Vlad's tweet and the Robinhood memecoin-wide sell-off, this is now the second time $HOODBIRD has dropped alongside the market, yet the dev continues to remain resilient and grind through it all with the community. I've now increased my position and own over 2% of the supply, for me, having a dev that Matt Furie follows, previously interacted with on another Ethereum project, and then seeing Matt Furie like a HOODBIRD post from that same dev, makes me believe this will be the Matt Furie memecoin play on Robinhood, with what I see as a strong signal of approval. At this market cap, I feel it's worth the risk, risk only what you can afford to lose, but this is the first low-cap memecoin in a long time that reminds me of an early PEPE-type opportunity, and Robinhood chain can give that big parabolic generational wealth pump IMO if more people come behind it. I DCA'd on my original position, bought around $50K on an average of around $50K, which means I've increased my exposure significantly. This is why, when I first aped $100K, I said it was a risk, it can go either way, that's the name of the game in crypto. I remain confident Vlad and Robinhood Chain will continue to push their meme ecosystem, so I was happy to increase my position, vs selling, when it dropped, which logically would have been the better decision, then buy back in. 😂 Time will reveal all. This is my biggest fear with the $ANSEM token. Everything rides on Ansem, he became the face of it, whether it was Solana higher-ups backing the narrative or whether this was VC-backed from the beginning, we finally started seeing holes in the story with wallets that got in for next to nothing beginning to exit, that happens in every project. I expect we see more major dumps and continued sell pressure, this is what we call the redistribution phase, the insiders and early backers who never truly had conviction begin exiting once they feel the risk has increased and bank profits with haste. I originally thought this was Solana higher-ups backing Ansem to benefit their own interests, now it's becoming more likely that major VCs were the ones behind the plan, we all know Ansem's connections with them, and we saw that reflected across X. Ansem took the risk of becoming the face of the project, and I think a lot of his confidence came from knowing he had that liquidity backing, now we're seeing him having to draft investment theses, become much more active on X, reassure the community, and frame the exits as "jeets out, conviction holders in." That's all well and good, but dealing with Solana PTSD sell pressure and a much lower level of supply control isn't going to be easy. Ansem needs major CEX listings as soon as possible, and he needs the Solana higher-ups to step in if they're genuinely behind this, I'm not convinced VCs will continue taking on that risk from here. I also don't think Ansem doing podcasts with a grifter like Banks helps. Yes, that whole KOL circle tends to support each other, but Banks has lost a lot of credibility in this space, a lot of people believe he profited from $ANSEM, whether Ansem or Banks admits it or not, and that association doesn't inspire confidence. Time will reveal all, I'm never someone who wants to see others lose, I'd genuinely love to see Ansem succeed because it's good for the space, but breaking a Solana downtrend while relying primarily on retail, without the level of backing I think Ansem needs, is a very tough ask, If the support is there, we'll eventually see it, if not, the market will reveal that too. I find it interesting that he hasn't followed up with another memecoin-related post, especially knowing the amount of volume memecoins have brought to Robinhood, it's not even comparable to utility or RWA projects. Volume is key for any chain, and whether people like it or not, memecoins are what bring that volume. I know Robinhood chains struggling a little, my $CASHCAT position dropped, but I said this could happen, I'm holding that position with my feeling that Robinhood, Vlad, will do whatever it takes to send it, as its important for the chain.
