- The Israeli Defence Force's statement on the strike that hit a Lebanese Army Vehicle. They claim the vehicle was misidentified as a Hezbollah vehicle as it was in a combat zone: "- Earlier today (Saturday), the Israel Defense Forces identified a vehicle moving suspiciously toward the troops near the village of Tebnine in southern Lebanon. - The vehicle was traveling in an active combat zone that had been evacuated, and an alert was received regarding gunfire directed at Israel Defense Forces troops in the area. Available information with the Israel Defense Forces also indicates that Hezbollah is operating extensively in this area. - Following the identification of the vehicle, and based on the warning information and the danger it posed to the troops, it was targeted, with initial examination results revealing that two officers and a soldier from the Lebanese Army were inside the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation. - It is noted that movement in a combat zone requires coordination with the Israel Defense Forces. - The Israel Defense Forces is investigating the incident and will draw the necessary lessons according to the results.
