Westerners think if they dismantle individuality they're gonna be a big happy family of relatives and friends, people's aren't each other's company in collective communities, they're each other's cops, they're all unconscious protectors of non-written laws
People who are different and don't follow the unspoken rules and traditions in small collective societies aren't just incredibly lonely but they're also in a constant threat to lose their dignity, reputation and in worst cases their lives
Instead of addressing the terrible consequences of capitalism and patriarchy (the real reasons of their loneliness) they want to be part of a bigger society so they won't feel like suffering alone
Villages have strict rules that let them continue, if you're not willing to comply with the rules you are a disruptor, disruptors aren't welcome in villages
Collectivity isn't a social utopia where people who surround you will help and embrace you no matter what because you're part of it
The problem I have with western leftists that even makes me resent them is that they want to completely dismantle individuality in their cultures, they want to be collective and deeply connected to their families, neighbours, relatives and colleagues. They think collectively will solve their growing feelings of loneliness, I don't know why they think of it as a bright future when collective societies are right in front of their eyes, people in Asia have been collective
