you could've been a writer, a poet, a great filmmaker, a famous painter, an architect that has left their mark all over the city, an essayist or just nothing at all. I look at people around me and think about how they'll probably never be what they were truly meant for. they might achieve that when it's too late, when it's rotten. I cry for all this wasted potential that people are carrying on their backs all day. I cry because despite all that they are still sticking to their passion because that's all we have left.
