Introducing BirrJS A TypeScript billing engine for the Ethiopian market. Payment gateways here only handle one-time payments, so there's no built-in support for subscriptions, entitlements, or reminders. BirrJS fills that gap with a subscription lifecycle engine that handles plans, feature gating, usage tracking, expiry and reminders, and easy payment provider integration. [ Docs ] [ Github ]

I saw that Nahome decided to withdraw, and honestly, I think a lot of us have thought about doing the same at least once during our university life. University can be really tough, especially when you're trying to balance classes with work, business, or other goals. Sometimes you don't do well in class, and it can make you feel like you're falling behind or not good enough. I've felt that too. The hard part is that those feelings can start affecting your confidence outside of school as well. You begin to question yourself even when you're doing well in other areas of life. At the end of the day, everyone has their own path. Whether you decide to continue, take a break, or focus on something else, make sure it's your decision, not one made because of fear or self-doubt. Keep going. Things don't always work out the way we planned, but that doesn't mean they won't work out. @devwitheyob #TechVibe #thought #DroppingOut

Yo guys, check this out 🔥 My friend built Pulse, an Android app that helps you keep up with trending tech articles. It curates good articles, gives AI summaries with Gemini, and supports offline reading too. On the technical side, he used Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Room, Express/TS, PostgreSQL, and Gemini AI so it’s simple to use, but the architecture behind it is actually solid. @pocodes

waaazzzupppp, Time to share (I guess). I spent a long time feeling totally lost with Android development. But a few weeks ago, while I was preparing (or whatever you call it😂) for my "Mobile Architecture" final exam, something actually started making sense. I’ve always learned best by just building, so I decided to work on Pulse. I’ve always wanted a simple way to keep up with trending tech articles, so I built Pulse to curate the top ones, get AI summaries, and save for offline reading. It’s a very simple app, but building it taught me so much: * Designing with Jetpack Compose & Material 3. * Structuring apps with MVVM. * Making things work offline using Room. * Diving into the full stack with Express/TS & Postgres to implement the curation. * Integrating Gemini AI for instant insights. The process was fun and challenging at the same time and of course will continue updating it. If you want to take a look at the code or try the app out yourself, you can download the APK and check the repo here: Download: https://github.com/bemnet-21/pulse/releases/download/v1.0.0/Pulse.apk Repo: https://github.com/bemnet-21/pulse Let me know what y'all think

This is super coolll and itz what we all need check it out🔥⚡ @pocodes

Introducing ICare I built ICare because I spend most of my day staring at a screen and kept forgetting to take breaks until my eyes started hurting. ICare reminds you to follow the 20-20-20 rule by nudging you every 20 minutes to look away from your screen for 20 seconds. If you're really stubborn, Smart Eye Mode can block your screen for 20 seconds and force the break To make things more fun, I added:       - Analytics to track your habits       - Streaks and badges to keep you motivated       - Different popup personalities       - A Savage Mode that might roast you for ignoring your eye health I wanted ICare to be simple, useful, and a little entertaining. I've been using it myself, and it's already helping me build healthier screen habits. I hope it helps you too. GitHub repo: https://github.com/Lozaashenafi/Icare If you try it out, I'd love to hear your feedback.

The problem is that they don't have a good dev to assess and hire another good dev 😁 Old business folks there can only rely on Degree or years of experience to hire, which aren't good enough
