Challenges

During the night shift, a family of a patient admitted to the Cardiac ICU was sitting in front of the unit entrance. I informed him that staying in this area is not permitted according to hospital policy; however, he refused and responded aggressively, insisting that he would not leave. I also explained the hospital rules to the family, but they continued to disregard, and forcefully decided to remain in the restricted area. To avoid further escalation and potential disturbance to the ward, I allowed him to stay temporarily. then i informed the security guards to closely monitor the ward and keep the individual under observation. Kindly discuss this matter with the patient’s family and take appropriate measures to ensure that similar incident do not occur.
