Myassar Hdeibat ميسر هديبات, from Dura, is a Palestinian teacher and mother of 5 children, who was arrested on 18 November 2024. She was not released in the Toufan Al-Ahrar exchange deal, just like Shatela Abu Ayyad and Aya Khatib (the latter is now free). She was visited by lawyer and writer Hassan Abbadi and gave a testimony about the prison as well as sending greetings to her loved ones. Freedom for Myassar and for all Palestinian prisoners!

Fedayeen Football is back this Saturday June 27th from 10-12 at Green Lake Park Playfield! This will be a community space to play football, connect with Palestinian organizations and hangout. The games will be small sided 5v5 on pug goals with no goalkeepers. All ages and skill levels are welcome, snacks will be provided! Please spread the word and invite friends

Maradona’s Fitness Coach Joins the Palestinian Sports Network’s Campaign to Expel Israel from FIFA Argentine coach Fernando Signorini, the former fitness coach of football legend Diego Maradona, has joined the campaign to Kick Israel Out of FIFA and All International Sporting Competitions, launched by the Palestinian Sports Network (Sharaf) at the start of the World Cup. In a statement to the Palestinian Sports Network, Fernando Signorini called on all free people around the world who hope for a more just world to raise their voices to expel Israel from all international sporting competitions, while also increasing pressure to end the ongoing aggression against Gaza. Signorini is considered one of the leading figures in the field of athletic physical conditioning, having worked alongside a number of world-renowned football stars, including Argentine star Lionel Messi during the early years of his professional career. The Palestinian Sports Network affirmed that Signorini’s participation constitutes significant moral support for the campaign and reflects the growing international sporting solidarity with the calls to take action against Israel within international sports institutions. Four young Lebanese men are missing: Where are they? Their families demand answers Ali Mousa Qashmar Jawad Shadi Bazzi Hadi Kamal al-Raqqa Mohammed Ali Hassan Join their families for a sit-in at the Government Palace in Beirut on Wednesday, June 24 at 6 pm. On Monday, 15 June, Ali Qashmar, Jawad Bazzi, Hadi al-Raqqa and Mohammed Hassan traveled to South Lebanon from Dahiyeh. Hours later, their families lost all contact with them – Hadi al-Raqqa and Jawad Bazzi disappeared near Wadi al-Hujair, while Mohammed Hassan and Ali Qashmar disappeared near Beit Yahoun. Their families have received no news from the “coordination mechanism” with the occupation army and the U.S., from the Lebanese government, from civil defense or other institutions. Despite social media reports that they were abducted by invading Zionist forces, their families have received no confirmation of these claims. Join them to demand the truth about their sons’ fate.

We, the Palestinian and Lebanese sports clubs, federations, organizations, and teams in Lebanon, together with athletes, coaches, administrators, supporters, and all those who believe in the values of justice and freedom, call for the expulsion of the Israeli occupation state from the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and all international sports institutions and federations. The Israeli occupation state is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people, including the direct and systematic targeting of the Palestinian sports movement, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian West Bank. "Israel" has killed more than 1,000 Palestinian athletes, including football players, coaches, referees, and sporting champions. It has also wounded thousands of athletes and imprisons hundreds of them in Israeli prisons, in blatant violation of all international and sporting laws and norms. The occupation forces have also: * Destroyed stadiums, sports facilities, and sports halls. * Bombed clubs and youth centers and demolished sports infrastructure. * Prevented Palestinian teams and national squads from traveling and participating in international competitions. * Imposed siege and collective punishment on Palestinian athletes. * Used sport as a tool of racial discrimination and settler-colonial domination. The continued participation of the Israeli occupation regime in international sporting institutions, despite these crimes, constitutes shameful complicity and silence that contradict the principles these institutions claim to uphold, foremost among them justice, equality, and opposition to racism. International sports institutions have previously taken action against other states because of wars and political violations. Therefore, the continued exemption of Israel from accountability reveals a policy of double standards and undermines the credibility of global sport. Accordingly, we demand: * The expulsion of "Israel" from FIFA. * The expulsion of "Israel" from the International Olympic Committee. * The removal of all Israeli federations and teams from international competitions. * The imposition of comprehensive sporting sanctions on the occupation state until it ceases its crimes against the Palestinian people. * The protection of Palestinian athletes and the guarantee of their full right to movement and international participation. There is no place within international sporting institutions for a state that practices genocide, racism, and colonialism. Sport must stand with freedom and justice, not with occupation and killing.
