Today, I went to see my childhood friend for the last time.
She was one of the most beautiful girls in our class. We grew up together. And now, the last image I carry of her is not her smile, but her burnt face.
I saw her mother's tears.
I saw a father trying to stay strong and failing because some pain is simply too heavy.
Just one step. One moment. And an entire world turned upside down.
Since that day, I can't stop thinking.
When we're hurting, we often think nobody cares. But standing there, looking at her family, looking at everyone who came to say goodbye, I realized how many hearts a single person lives in without ever knowing it.
I don't know how long this feeling will stay with me.
I just keep wondering how someone can believe they're alone, while so many people would spend the rest of their lives missing them.
