Players enjoyed the show and then dove into an intense tournament battle 📋 Brackets 🎲 Backgammon main tournament (154 players from 36 countries) Four rounds were played today. Only 9 players remain undefeated, 40 players with one loss. 🎉 The Arabian Grand-Prix is officially open! On December, 13, 2025, in Dubai, our grand opening ceremony of the international backgammon tournament took place, organized under the auspices of the IBF and Mindskillz. The event gathered some of the world’s strongest players and became a true celebration for the entire sports community 👑 It all started with the new president's welcoming speech: Umar Nazarovich Kremlev thanked everyone for their support and told about the great IBF plans 🏛 The ceremony was held at the Le Meridien hotel, bringing together athletes from 36 countries, officials and spectators 👏 Dabka and Ayallah dance ensembles performed vibrant national numbers setting the tone for the entire tournament. Their performances were met with thunderous applause! 🔥 The master of ceremonies, beautiful Alex Fame created an unforgettable atmosphere by engaging the audience in lively interaction, highlighting the geography of the tournament and previewing the matches ahead 🎙 The tournament was officially declared open by Tournament Director Patrick Gebeili and Chief Arbiter Arda Findikoglu’s speeches The International Backgammon Federation congratulates all participants on the launch of this landmark international event.
