The French Navy stopped the tanker Deliver off the coast of Sicily on Tuesday for allegedly violating maritime law, just days after the UK carried out a similar operation. In a nationwide first, a drone was used to safely disarm an armed suspect during a standoff with Sacramento Sheriff's SWAT team. The suspect, a known felon and parolee at large, had been seen with a firearm and did not respond to negotiators, so a drone was sent into the residence. Pilots found him hiding in a corner of a garage, alive but not responding, with one hand hidden under his body and the other holding a knife.
