His university lasts for five years, with one additional year of learning Turkish language. So, before he even left for Turkey, we were already planning to reapply to the American Universities, as he would not lose anything. If he continues to study at the Turkish university, he would graduate in 2028. If he applied to the American University, and started studying from this upcoming fall, he would still graduate in 2028. So, he had nothing to lose if he had applied to the US again. But, after living in Istanbul for some time, he decided to stay in Turkiye without even applying to US.
