my theory simply state, humans can't live without higher powers. they are masochist from base. they always need a higher authority otherwise their life functioning spirals our of control and loses all its meaning. this is really worth giving a thought. if there is no greater reward at the end? who are we? sorta sounds nihilistic. but it's not. to me it's a gateway to new philosophical idea.

if you're religious, then some random guy opinions should dictate your thoughts. my way of living is i don't prefer asking for help, even if it's god. your way can obviously be different.

ok so i'm not saying religion has only influenced people in one way or that every religious person is blindly obedient. i'm talking bout what many religious systems are fundamentally built around. submission to a higher authority and treating that authority as unquestionable. yea ofc religion has inspired philosophy, art, charity, personal growth and what not. but those outcomes don't necessarily contradict the idea that obedience is one of its core functions. and while it's true that people can obey anyth blindly, religion often gives that obedience divine legitimacy. if someone believes an authority speaks for god, questioning becomes much harder than questioning a politician or a celebrity. so my point isn't every believer is intellectually passive. it's that many religions structurally place obedience to sacred authority at their center even if individuals experience and practice their faith very differently. — @thinksharper
