Without vowels, consonants are completely silent and cannot form words. Vowels give voice and sound to the consonants! The 5 short vowels are: • A (አ) • E (ኤ) • I (እ / ኢ) • O (ኦ) • U (ኡ) —————————— 2. Why every word MUST have a vowel 🔑 Try saying consonants without vowels: "M-N" or "B-R". The Golden Rules of Afaan Oromoo Vowels 🌟 Afaan Oromoo has two types of vowel sounds: A.
