That AI interview was wild. I had an interview with an AI for an AI Tutor position (basically an AI trainer/evaluator), and one of the questions was about web scraping. I don’t have much hands-on experience with that, so I tried to explain it, but you really can’t trick it😁.
It was my first time doing an AI interview, and it felt surprisingly natural and smooth. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass 😭

I was on a team religious trip, and we were talking about the hopeless moments we’ve been through, and how God helped us. That conversation reminded me of something I’ll never forget.
When I was a second-year student, I got really sick. It was a kidney infection, and it got so bad that I couldn’t do anything. I tried going to clinics, but they couldn’t help at all. I felt completely hopeless. I couldn’t even sit and code for more than 20 minutes.
I remember going to church (kidste maryam 5k) and just sitting there, tired and helpless. I didn’t even have the strength to pray properly.
After that, I went to Abrhot, and I got so sick that I collapsed. When I woke up about five minutes later, the pain was gone, completely gone. Just like that. I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy.
I’ve never felt that pain again since then. But honestly… it makes me sad too, because I haven’t been doing much to make God happy. I even almost forgot that God did this for me 😞

Somedays I wake up realizing I already have everything I need to build a million-dollar life 😁. It’s on me if I don’t create, market, build, or find a way to generate wealth.
I have unlimited access to the world’s knowledge. Whatever I want to learn already exists and most of it is free.

Next, I’m going to build a full RAG project for my portfolio. It will include not only text embeddings, but also web page scraping and document embeddings, and it will be production-ready.

Day 12 | RAG + Vector Embeddings
I built a simple RAG project focused on vector embeddings where I first collect a large set of text data from the internet, generate embeddings locally using FastEmbed, and then store those vectors in Astra DB (Cassandra). when I ask a question, the system embeds my query, performs a cosine similarity search to retrieve the most relevant chunks and related documents, and then uses Groq as the LLM to generate an answer from that retrieved context. The key part is that if the retrieved context isn’t strong enough, it won’t hallucinate like a typical chatbot, it will simply say it doesn’t know based on the available information.

Tomorrow I’m going to build something a little different. I’ll create a simple but complete RAG system, try out what I’ve learned, and let you guys know how it goes.
