Happy Father’s Day 💙 Fatherhood is a journey filled with both challenges and rewards. Some days bring stress, uncertainty, and sacrifice. Other days bring joy, pride, and connection. Through it all, fathers continue to guide, protect, and love their children. Today, we honor every father, not because they are perfect, but because they keep showing up. Strong fathers build strong families. Happy Father’s Day from @Efoytaye #Mind_Matters.

Today on Efoytaye Radio, we discussed Child Abuse: The Hidden Wounds Children Carry with Ato Asadirew Zerihun, MSW, CP/GBV Expert. Our conversation highlighted that child abuse extends beyond physical violence. Emotional abuse, verbal humiliation, neglect, and child labor can have lasting effects on a child's mental health, development, education, and future well-being. We also explored how certain harmful practices can become normalized within families and communities, and why protecting children requires awareness, compassion, and collective responsibility. One powerful reminder from today's discussion: Children do not need perfect adults—they need safe adults. Thank you to our guest and listeners for being part of this important conversation. #EfoytayeRadio #ChildProtection #ChildRights #MentalHealth #ChildDevelopment #PublicHealth #ChildrenFirst

Just as we care for our physical hygiene daily, we should also care for our mental and emotional state. Sometimes that means pausing for a moment and looking inward. How have you been behaving lately? What thoughts have been dominating your mind? What emotions have you been carrying, and have you been processing them in a healthy way? Self-awareness is the first step toward becoming an active problem solver. It sharpens the mind, strengthens emotional control, and helps us move through difficult times with more clarity and resilience. Take care of yourself internally. Let your mind reflect the same care and discipline you give to your physical hygiene. That is psychohygiene.

Let me take you back ten years. What kind of life were you living? Was it hard to get up in the morning, or were you effortlessly happy? Did peace stay with you every day to the point that you barely understood what chaos felt like? Then suddenly, life turned upside down. That is stress. It never announces itself or knocks on the door with warnings, especially when we are not self-aware enough to notice the signs early. But stress is not always the enemy. In many ways, it is necessary for growth and survival. What truly matters is how our minds interpret and respond to it. When stress continues without action or solutions, it slowly becomes like a parasite living inside the mind. It changes the way we think, react, and operate. We become stuck in cycles of complaining, overthinking, and emotional exhaustion without actually doing anything to improve our situation. This is why psychohygiene is important.

What happened to #family, the biggest institution in the world? Why are so many homes struggling with disconnection, conflict, emotional distance, and silent pain despite living under the same roof? This Thursday at 9:00 PM on FM 96.3, join #Efoytaye_Radio for a deep and honest conversation on the changing dynamics of family, relationships, parenting, communication, and the psychological challenges affecting modern homes. Is social media replacing connection? Are financial pressures breaking emotional bonds? Why do many #families struggle to communicate, understand, and heal? And most importantly, how do we rebuild healthy families again? A conversation every #parent, young person, couple, and family member needs to hear. Efoytaye Radio “Mind Matters” Thursday | 9:00 PM | FM 96.3

Resilient organizations take a different path. They do not rely on pressure to function. They build clarity into roles and processes. Work flows with less friction. People know where they stand and how to act. They also invest in relationships. Trust allows teams to speak early, solve faster, and support each other under strain. This reduces hidden stress before it grows. Strong systems and healthy connections protect both performance and people. If your organization only works when people stretch beyond their limits, the problem is not effort. The system needs redesign. Thursday on Efoytaye Radio 9:00-10:00 FM96.3/AMN Don't Miss it

Stress is not only an individual problem. It often reflects how your organization runs. When pressure rises, many teams respond the same way. Push harder. Work longer. Demand more. For a short time, output increases. Then energy drops. Tension builds. People disconnect. What looks like a motivation issue is often a system issue. When roles stay unclear, people carry more than they should. When decisions sit with a few, everything slows and frustration grows. When relationships weaken, even small problems feel heavy. This is where stress turns into burnout.

Raising a child is already a journey filled with questions, but when your child experiences the world differently, those questions can feel heavier, quieter, and sometimes lonely. “What am I missing?” “Am I doing enough?” “Why is this so hard to understand?” #Autism is not a lack of ability, it’s a different way of seeing, feeling, and connecting with the world. And for many #parents, the hardest part is not the diagnosis itself, but the uncertainty, the silence, and the fear of getting it wrong. This week on #Efoytaye_Radio – Episode 31, we open a much-needed conversation: #Understanding Autism – From #Lived_Experience Because beyond the clinical terms and labels, there are real stories. Real parents. Real resilience. Our guest, @Rahel Abaynehe, founder of Nehemiah Autism Center, brings not just expertise but lived truth. So if you are a parent, a caregiver, or someone who simply wants to understand better- this conversation is for you. Thursday, 9:00 – 10:00 LT @FM93.6 Tune in.
