Hoag's Object
This is a galaxy that is a nearly perfect ring of hot blue stars around a yellow core.
The entire galaxy is about 120,000 light-years wide, slightly larger than the Milky Way.
The blue ring, in which most of it is devoted to clusters of young, large stars, creates a sharp contrast with the yellow core.
Psst. Wanna see a planet orbiting another Sun?
We’ve got four! The James Webb Space Telescope captured direct images of four gas giants in a young, well-studied planetary system 130 light-years away. Observations from the telescope indicate that the exoplanets are rich in carbon dioxide, which means they likely formed in similar ways to Jupiter and Saturn.

●Ceres is the only object in the asteroid belt known to have cryovolcanoes, which are volcanoes that erupt with water, ammonia, or other volatile substances instead of molten rock.
•Ahuna Mons is the most prominent example of a cryovolcano on Ceres.

Young Mars featured a dense atmosphere and water resources
Yet, over the past billions of years, the Red Planet has lost much of both its gas envelope and its hydrosphere.
Nevertheless, Mars has still managed to retain some water in the form of subsurface ice deposits. Data collected by spacecraft suggest that they are much more widespread than previously thought.
According to some estimates, up to one-third of the planet contains hidden deposits of water ice ❄️
We HU IOT Astronomy and Space Science Club should seize this opportunity
What can be seen in the Andromeda Galaxy through a telescope?
This cosmic lady is one of the most distant objects that humans can see with the naked eye. And through a telescope, it is realistic to observe several curious objects already inside the galaxy.
In small telescopes away from the city lights we can see bright satellite galaxies M 32 and M 110, dust bands, some globular star clusters and the star-forming region NGC 206.
With more powerful instruments, the structure of the galaxy is already observed as more detailed. We can see the star-like core, not only globular and scattered star clusters, but also individual stars, such as the AF Andromeda, a bright blue pulsating hypergiant.
In telescopes with a lens diameter of 500 mm or more, you will be able to see the nearest companions of Andromeda - the dwarf spheroidal galaxies Andromeda I, II and III.

✨ Earth’s Glow from the ISS
A stunning image of Earth's starry sky and atmospheric glow as seen from the International Space Station.
NGC 2244 is a stunning open star cluster embedded within the Rosette Nebula, located in the constellation Monoceros, about 5,200 light-years from Earth. This cluster is relatively young, with an estimated age of just a few million years. Formed from the nebula’s own gas and dust, the stars in this cluster emit intense ultraviolet radiation. This energy lights up the surrounding nebula and shapes it by blowing away gas and dust, creating its iconic flower-like appearance. NGC 2244 is a key site for studying how massive stars form and interact with their birth clouds, making it both scientifically valuable and visually stunning.
Astronauts on the ISS watch 15-16 sunsets and sunrises every day😱
The International Space Station is about 220 km above Earth and travels at 27,700 km/h.
This means that it orbits every 92 minutes. Therefore, the astronauts on board see sunsets and sunrises every 45 minutes.
