07 In 2016, an Open Society Foundations (OSF) intranet called Karl was hacked and 2,576 files were leaked onto a website called DCLeaks.
One file showed OSF had allotted a budget of $500K to be spent exposing Russia's attempts to meddle in European elections. However, the report read that "the evidence was sketchy and more based on strong allegations". It also warned that outwardly accusing Russia of interference was "problematic" as the OSF "also are in the business of channelling money into countries for political purposes."
OSF's clear key interests were to boost EU immigration, increase EU citizenships for migrants, and to then mobilise them politically while countering any opposition. The files detailed the organisations and media entities they funded to support these aims.
Two Irish NGOs named as partners were the Immigration Council and NASC. One report celebrated their lobbying efforts that 77,000 migrants had been granted Irish citizenship in the previous three years.

10 Israeli Knesset Considers Law to Label UN Aid Agency as "Terror Group"
The Israeli legislature plans to hold a vote on a bill that would name the UN Aid Agency for Palestinians (UNRWA) as a terrorist organization. Since October 7, Israel has killed hundreds of UNRWA staff in Gaza and alleged the group has ties to Hamas.
The Knesset plans to hold the preliminary vote on the law this Wednesday (May 29). MK Yulia Malinovksy explained the bill, “The purpose of this bill is to declare UNRWA as a terrorist organization for all intents and purposes as well as order the termination of the relations [and the cooperation] of the State of Israel with the agency, either directly or indirectly.”
If the law passes the initial vote, it will still have to pass the first, second, and third readings.
Since October 7, Tel Aviv has targeted UNRWA on the ground in Gaza and in the international press. Amid the Israeli onslaught, the aid agency has reported that nearly 200 of its staff have been killed in Gaza.

18 🇨🇳🇹🇼 China is preparing an armada of ferries and civilian ships to invade Taiwan, writes The Telegraph.
Beijing lacks amphibious ships, but 10 years ago it issued technical guidelines for shipbuilders that would allow many of its civilian vessels to be suitable for military use. They have already been used in military exercises.
Civilian vessels can be used after coastal defenses have been destroyed, or to overwhelm them with "mass". Giant ferries, tankers and container ships can be used, each of which can transport hundreds of armored vehicles.
