First, I can only HELP YOU if you decide that you are going to INVEST IN YOUR ADVANCEMENT. I love the word INVEST. Why? Time Money Resources Me, I always decide what I need to invest in my personal development per ates. Let me give you an example. TIME is my scarcest resource What this means is, I'll rather spend money than time on the things I need to get done these days. Unfortunately, some things require me to still spend time on them E.g Someone in my network reached out to me via LinkedIn in May. It was to become a consultant (International) for a platform she works for. She said Derin, I know you are busy but ill like to bring you on board. You need to fill out a profile on our platform though. I told her thanks and that I am interested. But guess what I needed to invest TIME to do it WELL. I checked the platform out and knew that I needed to update 🌏 my current CV 🌎 Cover letter 🌎LinkedIn profile. Also, the questions asked needed me to think through. Why LinkedIn & Why Are We SCREAMING ABOUT LINKEDIN? As of now, 900+ million professional profiles are on LinkedIn; My platform of choice for attracting global opportunities given it has been part of my strategy in attracting global opportunities in the last 5 years. My feature on Voice of Canada, partnerships for I-Train Africa, My 2 International Remote Jobs In 2022 at NHM London, and UN Live, etc. Now, in my experience on this platform (Using it and teaching clients how to use it), I noticed African professionals are lagging. I then carried out the research. Did you know that only 6M+ professional LinkedIn profiles are linked to Nigeria as a whole? That is ridiculous. The key countries in Africa when put together are under 35M By the way, the UK has 35M+ The US has about 199M+ So yes, African Professionals are my focus for now and I set a mission for us all.
