While some people think that class assignments should be done by students themselves, others however believe that it is better to complete classwork in a team. I am of the opinion that working individually can be a better option since it provides less disturbed environments and helps students to be independent.
There are two main reasons to work in a team. Firstly, it helps students to exchange their ideas through discussions and debates on a particular topic be it math or physics. By doing this, they can have a broader horizon by gaining new ideas from their teammates. As a result, not only could this way of completing tasks lead to changing their mindset but it also helps them to look to a particular subject from a different perspective, as they have possessed some distinguished opinions from their friends. Sociability can be another advantage of working in a team which helps introverts to become extroverts by obtaining some encouragement from their teammates to talk and adjoin heated debates.
I, however, believe that completing assignments solely can be a better option due to less disturbance and being independent. One disadvantage of working in a team is being bombarded with random ideas and getting interrupted while coming up with some new ideas. Consequently, some introvert students usually find themselves confused due to a mixture of ideas and end up with not being able to produce their own thoughts. When carrying out tasks, the ideal way is to deal with the assignment individually without getting disturbed and leading to having some productivity as well. Independence can be the next reason to complete tasks alone because they do not depend on others’ opinions when coping with assignments, instead students start to find solutions themselves which can, in turn, affect better future results as well.
In conclusion, although some say it is good to work in a team due to exchanging ideas and turning introverts to extroverts, I believe that working individually can be a good choice when doing tasks due to less interrupted and independent environment.
