The picture illustrates the process of how a book is published which consists of nine sequential stages and can span anywhere from 18 to 24 months; The key steps occur within a publishing house, where a book undergoes approval, editing, binding, and distribution to bookshops for sale.
First, a final draft of a manuscript must be written to be later sent to publishing houses where it undergoes a meticulous evaluation by editors. When a book meets the standards of the publishing house, the contract is signed between the publishing house and the author. The next step entails designing a layout where the book is edited to make it more visually appealing for a potential reader. Once the layout is finalized, the printing stage begins. This stage involves printing the publication and subsequently binding it, resulting in the creation of its cover that aligns with the book's content. Finally, the finished product is distributed to various bookshops, where it is made available for purchase by customers.
