⚠️Top news for July 27th:
☕️ Sorry for such a long post, there was a lot to cover.
🕯 The weekend was generally quite quiet. Bitcoin closed the week up 3.28%, Ethereum up 5.50%, and the market cap closed at $56 billion. The trend is also mostly upward: BTC up 1.25%, ETH up 3.65%, top altcoins up 1.4%, and the US stock market is also slightly up. Brent crude oil fell about 7% to $87. What's also interesting is that the RSI indicator on the Bitcoin dominance chart broke below the uptrend in the 4-hour window, which looks encouraging. Liquidations over the past 24 hours have been minimal – around $220 million.
✏️Key events of the week – it's going to be a busy week!! On Tuesday, July 28, the consumer confidence report will be released. On Wednesday, July 29, data on US crude oil inventories will be released, and, of course, the main event of the week will be the interest rate decision (99% likely to be left unchanged), plus, of course, Warsh will speak. On Thursday, July 30, the preliminary GDP estimate for Q2 2026 will be released, along with the personal consumption expenditures price index, unemployment data, and the Bank of England's interest rate decision. On Friday, July 31, the University of Michigan consumer sentiment data will be released, along with the Bank of Japan's interest rate decision (if they raise it, the market could be "bad" for a while).
🇺🇸🇮🇷Remember, just a couple of days ago, Trump once again (apparently out of habit😄) threatened Iran, declaring that there would be no more dialogue with them, that everything would be as harsh as possible, and that this time, for sure, he would. And then on Saturday, he ordered a ceasefire, and the media once again began reporting successful negotiations. Haha, the most surreal thing. Basically, the night of July 24th to 25th was the first without strikes on Iran by the US in the last two weeks. "109 times a deal is in sight))". And yes, he's again threatening new tariffs on the European Union.
🗣Another funny thing. At the White House Correspondents' Association dinner, which took place over the weekend, Trump again announced his plans to run for president for a fourth time. He wore a cap with the slogan "Trump 2028," like in his previous campaigns (I've attached a video above). I'm afraid even Bitcoin won't survive his next term. 😂. Okay, those are just jokes, typical of him. I doubt he'll rewrite the US Constitution... or...😭
🟢The US financial reporting season for Q2 2026 is currently underway. 80% of companies that have already reported have exceeded revenue estimates. This is significantly higher than the historical average: 70% over the past five years and 68% over the past 10 years.
❌After BitMEX, BitMart, a not exactly recognizable or successful exchange, but still not the least liquid, has now announced its closure. New user registrations are already closed. The platform will reportedly shut down permanently on August 26th. I think you understand where their exchange token is now.)) By the way, according to analysts, this is the 64th crypto project to close in 2026. Hmm...
📣 S&P Dow Jones Indices (the world's largest provider of stock indices) launched a new digital asset index aimed at institutional investors, which, according to them, includes only projects with real-world applications and a sustainable economic model. This index reportedly includes 18 assets. Currently, we know about ETH, BNB, SOL, TRX, HYPE, and AAVE, but there is no information on the others.
‼️The S&P 500 to M2 (global liquidity) ratio has reached 2000s levels—the peak of the dot-com bubble.
💭 If you read this far, give it a ⚡️; it wasn't for nothing I spent the whole morning writing this.
