The Hall is one of the oldest and most beautiful male halls of residence in the University of Ibadan. It was formally opened on the 2nd of February, 1962 by Late Sir Alhaji Ahmadu Bello (1909-1966).
Fun fact: The hall was named after his great-grand father, Muhammed Bello (1781-1837), not Allah Ahmadu himself.
who was a scholar, poet, administrator, soldier and chief builder of the Sokoto Caliphate. Prior to her commissioning, the Hall served as a female Hall, which means that the first female Hall, Queen Elizabeth II Hall, and the first postgraduate hall, Tafawa Balewa Hall, got their origins from Sultan Bello. Although the hall was formally established in 1962, it has been in existence since 1953 and has been churning out noble and diligent graduates for many decades.

See. As I prepared to move into my hostel, I had look forward to a peaceful and serene environment, like one hall in UI laidat... 🫣 I had heard great things about one particular hall that has what I want (serenity), and had been hoping to be allocated there. Fingers crossed, I prayed that my wish would be granted, but it was this hall that I never liked that I was allocated to. What's my offence na 😡😡😠.
4 210
Be in the know that each hall has its unique strengths and weaknesses, right? Believe this with me. While some halls excel in sports, others shine in public speaking. While some are renowned for their gyration others boast of their best cafeteria.
