I'm gonna explain it once again to my non-iranian friends as an Iranian person who lives in iran. This is not the first time that the people of Iran have taken to the streets and expressed their anger, hatred, and frustration towards the Islamic Republic. We have been doing this for 50 years. Our previous revolution, the revolution of Mahsa Amini, a girl who died with a baton on her head for not wearing a hijab, Mahsa became a media sensation and the world heard our voices for the first time, thousands of Iranians were killed and arrested, and many protesting women were raped. This time, they completely cut off our internet access, so that even VPN doesn't work and we can barely connect, because they don't want the world to know that more than 80,000 people were brutally killed by gunfire in just 1 week. They transport the bodies in trucks and big trucks and charge the families more than 700 million tomans to return the bodies. They execute the protesters and register them as those killed the previous day, they cut off the breasts of the women and remove their uteruses to erase the traces of rape. All we are asking is our voice to be heard
