🚨 BREAKING: TELEGRAM SHARING USER DATA WITH GOVERNMENTS Telegram's founder Pavel Durov —known for his commitment to privacy and freedom— has made major changes to the app's Privacy Policy & TOS following his arrest.

"Telegram has your back when it comes to privacy."

"We will never change our Privacy Policy due to legal threats."

Durov could not keep up with this promise; Telegram will now disclose IP addresses & phone numbers of users who violate rules in accordance with court orders. Durov has always criticized rival platforms [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10] for security & privacy flaws, but never addressed those of his own.
