The cycle process shows how a type of biofuel, called ethanol, is made. In general, ethanol is produced when trees are harvested and processed to make ethanol for different vehicles which emit carbon dioxide, supporting the growth of trees that are then used in the process of ethanol production. The natural phase in the ethanol-making process includes trees absorbing energy that is derived from the sun or another component, carbon dioxide. This makes them grow, allowing them to be harvested. Then pre-processing procedure starts, and parts of trees, called cellulose, are extracted. This leads to the processing of cellulose, a stage where a range of chemicals are used. First, sugars are separated and then, microbes are added to complete the formation of ethanol. Ethanol can then be used to power a number of vehicles, such as cars, trucks and planes. As they use this fuel, they emit carbon dioxide, feeding trees to grow, initiating the same process again.
