Repost from SalafiDawaLancs
🎓Shaykh Sālim Bāmaḥriz Clarifies & Retracts from his Statement: ❝Whoever Does Not Take Knowledge from Maktabah Salafiyyah in Birmingham is Misguided and Misguiding Others❞ In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allāh, may He raise the rank and grant peace to our Prophet Muḥammad, his family, and all his companions. To proceed... There is an audio recording in which I spoke about seeking knowledge and whom one should refer back to. And I mentioned Maktabah Salafiyyah in Birmingham; however, they are not infallible. It was understood from my words—or perhaps the way I phrased it—that whoever does not take knowledge from them is misguided and misguiding others. This is incorrect; such a statement is not what I intended. Additionally, there are Mashāyikh from Ahlus-Sunnah in Britain—many, in fact—whom I may not even know. Some of them have acquired beneficial Islamic knowledge from the scholars, and Allāh has blessed them with it, allowing them to teach based on sound evidences from the Qurʾān and Sunnah. Such individuals should be referred to, their lessons should be attended, their answers to questions should be considered, as long as they are based on sound Islamic proofs. Therefore, it is not limited to the teachers at Maktabah Salafiyyah in Birmingham alone. Furthermore, one can benefit from some esteemed teachers, whether they reside in Britain or outside, such as our brother Shaykh Ḥasan aṣ-Ṣūmālī, as well as Abū Muʿādh Taqwīm, Mūsā Richardson, ʿUmar Quinn, Abū Muḥammad al-Maghribī, and many others, whether in Europe, America, or elsewhere. This is clear. In any case, we should strive for balance and moderation in our approach, and establish the Salafī Daʿwah wherever we are—whether scholars, teachers, or students of knowledge. This does not mean that we should become partisan towards any individual. Rather, we must educate people and clarify the correct path of calling to Allāh, supporting this religion with the words of the scholars—both from the Salaf and those who followed them—all of them are upon goodness, in-shāʾ-Allāh. Moreover, there should be mutual advice and correction whenever mistakes or shortcomings occur, for no one is perfect. The affair is that of Religion and Religion is advice. Through this, I hope to clarify that I did not intend to limit knowledge to Maktabah Salafiyyah alone. If I had said that, then I was mistaken. Rather, knowledge should be taken from those who are known for their knowledge, who adhere to the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah, and who are recognized for that without contradicting it. Such Mashāyikh should be referred to, regardless of where they are. This is what I wished to clarify. All praise belongs to Allāh; there are mosques and Islamic centers in Britain that hold lessons and conferences. Some of these mosques invite graduates from the Islamic University, and Allāh has benefitted people through them. They play a significant role in delivering lectures and lessons. These individuals are also from Ahlus-Sunnah, and knowledge can be taken from them, in-shāʾ-Allāh. If I made an error in speech or if my words were misunderstood, I retract from that. And all praise belongs to Allāh in all circumstances. We ask Allāh to grant us and you steadfastness until we meet Him while He is pleased with us, and to protect us from trials, both apparent and hidden. And Allāh is the One whose help is sought. Said by: Abū Anwar Sālim bin ʿAbdillah Bāmaḥriz May Allah grant success to all. For roughly the past 4-5 years, branching off of an initiative amongst the sisters to foster a deeper connection with the Quran, our family has prepared resources for use inside and outside of Ramadan, titled “Contemplating Over the Qur’ān” Starting with a promoted journal, then a detailed workbook and then a textbook, every year, we expanded on the previous work. It was divided into 29 sections to encourage a daily Quran routine. Last year, we announced the final and expanded two volume edition of contemplating over the Qur’an, with is a reference manual to use year-round with page by page insights from the Mushaf and a many crucial reflection questions from each day of reading. The first volume (220+ pages) contains the 1st third of the Quran from Fātihah-Surah al-Tawbah. It was printed before Ramadan last year. The second volume (370 pages) covers the remainder of the Qur’ān; it was slightly delayed and wasn’t available until the second half of Ramadan. For those who have the first volume or earlier editions, this is an entirely separate resource. These past years have been nothing short of a transformational experience and I look forward to broadening the benefit this Ramadan with both live & prerecorded broadcasts from my home to yours, sharing benefits from Allah’s mighty book. إن شاء الله I ask Allah to facilitate us continuing this journey together, increasing in our appreciation of Allah’s book inside and outside of the blessed month. 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚’𝐰𝐚𝐡 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 with Shaykh Dr. ‘Arafāt bin Ḥasan al-Muḥammadī [حفظه الله] ♦️𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: He says, [what's your] advice to students of knowledge on patience in Da’wah, unity, and visiting one another❓ 🅰️𝐍𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐑: This is a duty. We must endure each other’s shortcomings, visit one another, and remind each other. A person is weak and cannot stand alone, and the wolf devours the isolated sheep. So beware. You are entrusted with a great and blessed mission: this is the call of the people of truth. Do not change it by way of some of our [bad] manners, impatience, or separation and avoid idle talk that sows discord and spreads seeds of division. Be wise, speak only good or remain silent. Let your words be about promoting the call, strengthening brotherhood, and praising those active in the field of Da’wah. Abandon excessive criticism. Avoid saying, “So-and-so did this” or “So-and-so said that.” We all make mistakes. Those working in Da’wah—teaching people, studying, issuing fatwas—will inevitably err. Even the scholars are not infallible. So you come along and pursue the error and agitate [the situation], and you speak here and there. If you come across a mistake from your brother or hear something [wrong], gently correct it. Assume good thoughts and expect that he will rectify. If he does not accept your advice, then turn to someone better and closer to him [to address the matter]. We are in a time where people refuse to listen to one another, and this is due to the influence of devils—both human and jinn—who have entered among us and caused divisions. However, when you praise one another, speak well of one another, visit one another, and inquire about one another, it strengthens your bonds. This is not limited to the youth [but extends] even to the neighbours of the mosque, the elders, and those who pray with us. If someone is absent, travelling, or ill, ask about them and visit them. These are the rights Muslims have over one another. The people here [the Shaykh was in Mukalla City District, Ḥadhramaut] by default are followers of the Sunnah. Even those who innovate [in religion]—if you visit them to clarify, advise, and remind them—may return to the truth. This is especially true if they are ignorant [and willing to learn]. Those who are students of knowledge, capable and strong, should advise and clarify with proof and evidence. However, those who are weak or fear harm should refrain. ☞︎ 𝗌𝗅𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍𝗅𝗒 𝗉𝖺𝗋𝖺𝗉𝗁𝗋𝖺𝗌𝖾𝖽. Al Hamdulillah. The new book is available and live on Amazon: https://t.co/AdwZhgBQ5N The Five Pillars of a Happy Muslim Home is a comprehensive guide for those preparing for marriage, parents seeking suitable suitors for their children, and couples looking to strengthen their relationships. Drawing insights from early and contemporary scholars, this book offers an in-depth exploration of marital love and the importance of choosing a spouse for the right reasons. It thoroughly explains marriage in Islam and the key principles contributing to a happy and lasting union. Marriage in Islam serves five core purposes: chastity, which fulfills natural desires lawfully; children, to raise righteous youth; companionship, to build a supportive and loving family; community, strengthening society through the marriage bond; and commitment, ensuring a lasting union through the right intentions. The book is divided into three chapters: Chapter 1: The Blessing of an Islamic Marriage This chapter presents marriage as a sacred bond that requires dedication and effort. It emphasizes marriage's spiritual and social benefits and positions it as a prophetic tradition that provides numerous blessings. Chapter 2: The Secret Behind Spousal Love This chapter focuses on the foundation of love in marriage and explores the roles of faith, mutual respect, character, honesty, and conflict resolution in building lasting affection between spouses. Chapter 3: Marrying for the Right Reasons The final chapter highlights the significance of intention in marriage and aligns it with the five core objectives. It delves into the essential aspects of marriage, such as family responsibilities, financial support, and cooperation, offering a balanced approach to marital life. The book concludes by addressing two questionable marriage practices: those entered with the intention of divorce and misyār marriage, offering thoughtful insights into their potential risks. This book is a must-read for anyone seeking to build a happy, blessed Muslim home in alignment with Islamic values. Success is with Allah alone.

In your interactions with people, sit with the people of faith and choose honest companions. Exert your effort in bringing happiness to others, even if it is merely with a kind word, and always strive to have the high hand (i.e., to be in a position to give). When you give, do not expect anything in return. If you are met with ingratitude, do not be upset. Instead, expecting such reactions is gentler on your heart and more comforting to your mind. And know that good character is not based on reciprocal exchange but on following (the Sunnah). ✍🏻 Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ghalib al-‘Umari – may Allah preserve him.
