BlackRock has announced its first entry into decentralized finance (DeFi), launching the BUIDL token backed by U.S. Treasury bonds on Uniswap in partnership with Securitize. As part of the move, BlackRock also acquired UNI tokens.

Solana’s 40% price decline over the past month has created problems for companies holding SOL on their balance sheets.
