Exam success and failure There is not any correlation between a student's exam performance and their Khidma [serving] of the Deen. Assessments, whether in the form of written tests, presentations, or essays, demonstrate to the teacher that the student understands the subject well enough to teach it to others without making serious mistakes. May Allah accept us to serve humanity through the gift of knowledge.

Your Life Journey is Unique Everything in your life has happened for an assortment of reasons, which you will never be able to enumerate. Even if you sit there thinking about the 'only if's of life, there is no other way it could have happened. It was never going to happen that way, but Shaytan takes advantage of your ruminating thoughts, causing you to worry and blame yourself if I had done it this way, a little later, or not at all. The uniquely carved path of your life's journey is your unique life; when it ends, there is nothing that could have changed it. Try your best with your limited resources, don't base your life on outcomes, and hold onto your trust in Allah.

"It's said that once there was a Sultan who, on his death bed, gave three orders: 1) No one will carry my dead body except the doctors who looked after me 2) Scatter all the gold, silver, and precious stones that I've gathered throughout my life, on the road leading from the place of my death to the cemetery 3) When you lift me to put me in the coffin, take my hands out of the shroud and keep them open, with my fingers spread out The people around him reassured that his commands would be obeyed but requested him to explain the reason behind it. He said: 1) I want people to know that when your time is up, no one can do anything for you, not even the doctors that you rush to to save your lives الصحة والعمر نعمتان لا يمنحهما أحد من البشر Health and life are two blessings that no human being can grant us 2) All the time that we spend in collecting wealth is all in vain وإننا لن نأخذ معنا حتى فتات الذهب And we will not be able to take with us even the tiniest pieces of gold 3) I want people to remember قدمنا إلى هذه الدنيا فارغي الأيدي وسنخرج منها كذلك that we came into this world empty-handed, and we will leave it empty-handed"

"Once a man was resting on the edge of a river when suddenly he saw a cat falling in the water. He quickly got up to save the cat, but as soon as he extended his hand to grab the cat, it scratched his arms violently, making him draw back in pain. However, seeing the cat struggling for its life, he kept on trying, but every time he would get close to the cat, it would start scratching him. Finally, when he managed to pull the cat to, a man who was watching this closely from the other side came up to him and asked, Weren't the first two times enough for you to learn your lesson?" He replied, " يا بني! من طبع القط أن يخمش ومن طبعي أنا أن أحب وأعطف؛ فلماذا تريدني أن أسمح لطبعه أن يتغلب على طبعي؟! يا بني عامل الناس بطبعك لا بطبعهم ..." "O, my son! It is in the cat's nature to scratch, and it is in my nature to love and show compassion. Why do you want me to let its nature overpower mine? O my son! Treat people according to your nature and not theirs..."

Study Pre-Islamic History first Understanding the pre-Islamic lifestyle, in my opinion, is critical for understanding the background of Quranic verses and the meaning of hadith. When I was studying, I had no idea what vessels the Arabs used or what types of footwear the people wore. It wasn't until I studied fiqh that I discovered how important all of this was in understanding differences of opinion when calculating zakat, wiping over leather socks, tanning laws, and so on. The Arabs' approach to treating accidents, wounds, and illnesses, as well as their usage of foreign currency to conduct trade. Having prior knowledge of all of this allows you to understand important rulings and how they have evolved over time. Without understanding this and getting directly into the texts, I found myself needing to piece together and make sense of references in narrations. The implications of warfare, retribution, and slavery assist pupils in making sense of the issues raised. In my opinion, studying this element of history should be made a key component of early madrassa education. I began accumulating such preislamic traditions a few years ago to help students address these matters; hopefully, I will be able to continue doing so and make it a useful resource for them.

Allah's Mercy is not a blanket that covers everything, but rather a sophisticated and intricate weaving that reaches every single creature in unique ways. Of course, Allah's justice is absolute: if you do wrong, you will be held accountable; if you do good, you will be rewarded. However, Allah's justice will be based on the challenges of life into which you were born and raised.Never presume that those who are less fortunate financially and those who are wealthy will receive the same degree and particular form of mercy from Allah. On the Day of Judgement, neither parents raising physically or mentally challenged children would be acknowledged differently from those who do not have these conditions. Each person will be held accountable based on their own circumstances and actions, regardless of what others did.

Eid mubarak to you May Allah accept it from us and you ❤️ Have a wonderful day

Summarised notes from the book above GRADED EXPOSURE Many people believe that if you're facing your fears it must be done gradually. Yes, expo- sure is best done in a graded manner with a series of steps (the planned steps for exposure are called a 'hierarchy'), so that you face your less intimidating fears first and end up with the most difficult last. But grading your exposure is just a means to an end, and the sooner you can reach the top of your exposure hierarchy the better. Remember the 'upside down' principle of dealing with OCD: the more you try to avoid anxiety in the short term, the more of it you're likely to get in the long term. One way of remembering what exposure and response prevention means is the 'FEAR' acronym: Face Everything And Recover As noted above, a 'hierarchy' is the basis of a step by step plan of exposure that you carry out in order to face your fears and reduce your anxiety. Make a list of the triggers that you tend to fear or avoid because they activate your obsession. Here the exposure is to the idea of the door being unlocked, resisting the ritual to check and finishing when you feel uncom- fortable or uncertain. Always plan your exposure in a series of steps that lead up to your final goals.
