Date: 25.03.26 To the Gopher Community, Today, we are announcing a major transition for Masa and the Gopher project. Corporate Wind-Down Masa and its subsidiaries are preparing to wind down. This was not a decision made lightly. Given the current market conditions and our operational realities, continuing operations is not a viable way forward. The Future of Subnet 42 We have sold Subnet 42 to a trusted partner, and full ownership has been transferred. Securing a strong, capable successor for the subnet was a top priority for us. Under the acquirer's leadership, SN42 is positioned for long-term health and continued development within the Bittensor ecosystem. The Gopher Product For our users, the Gopher product and its associated tools remain live and accessible for the time being. You can continue to use the application. Any changes to the operations of the Gopher product will be communicated at a future date. Pre-Sale Participants To those who participated in the pre-sale, you will receive a direct email from us confirming this announcement and the formal winding down of Masa. Community Channels & Security Effective immediately, our Telegram and Discord channels are moving to announcement-only mode. During transitions like this, community safety is paramount. Locking the channels ensures that all information comes directly from official sources and prevents bad actors from spreading misinformation or phishing links. Do not trust unofficial DMs. Only information shared in these official announcement channels or via verified email is legitimate. This week we're shipping five updates to GoTrader, all driven directly by user feedback. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share what wasn't working, this release is yours. #1 Persistent alerts that work in the background A consistent piece of feedback: alerts disappear on refresh and don't fire unless the app is open. Fixed. Alerts now persist across sessions and devices, and are evaluated server-side against live market data. GoTrader does not need to be open for you to get notified. #2 Real-time notifications across the entire app Users told us they were missing alerts because they were on a different page. Sound and desktop notifications will now fire across the entire app regardless of where you are. Notification preferences are unified in Settings so your configuration applies everywhere. #3 Model selection in Discovery and Trade Assistant You asked for more control over which model is used for analysis. Both Discovery and Trade Assistant will support model selection, with sensible defaults pre-selected so nothing changes unless you want it to. #4 Cleaner, more consistent AI recommendations Feedback flagged inconsistency in how neutral trade outcomes were presented across different parts of the app. We have standardised this so recommendations read the same way everywhere, cleaner, faster to parse, easier to act on. #5 In-app "What's New" announcements A common theme: users missing new features entirely. We have shipped a lightweight announcement system that surfaces updates directly in the app when you log in. One dismiss and it won't show again. Keep the feedback coming, it directly shapes what we build next.
