It is not surprising that many IPS toppers re-appear in the UPSC to upgrade their rank to IAS. Bcoz, the nuisance power of IAS >> IPS, As evident from this news where IAS-Trainee/Probationary officer Pooja Khedkar is putting pressure on the DCP rank IPS to get a thief released! Home Ministry, DoPT, UPSC should make coordinated efforts to reduce this arrogance of (some Royal Entry) IAS probationers. Otherwise, many IPS/IRS Toppers will keep re-appearing in UPSC to become IAS, and that is not helping in the other candidates, as one person keeps getting selected over and over while others remain unemployed. Data Point: in UPSC-2023 final result, 3 out of top-5 Rankers were ex-IPS toppers, Aditya Srivastava (AIR 1), P K Sidharth Ramkumar (AIR 4), and Ruhani (AIR 5). कुछ घमंडी IAS अफसरो द्वारा सत्ता के दुरुपयोग से हतोत्साहित/आकर्षित होके कई IPS दोबारा परीक्षा देते है, ताकि खूद भी IAS बनने के लिए। इससे अन्य बेरोज़गार उम्मीदवारों का नुक़सान हो रहा है, क्योकि एक ही व्यक्ति बार बार सिलेक्ट हो रहा है।

Speed Reading Techniques 1. Previewing : Glance through the titles, subtitles, and highlighted texts in a book. You’re not just skimming, you’re constructing a mental framework for the detailed exploration that lies ahead. [Can be used to quickly and effectively read your Current Affairs Magazines] 2. Space Reading : Instead of focusing on each word, shift gaze to the spaces between words as your peripheral vision can catch and comprehend multiple words at once. [I find this more useful when reading Self Help books and the like when a lot of discussion follows a particular topic] 3. Eliminate Subvocalisation : Read without silently pronouncing each word. [Use it for your revisions. Less reading, more visualisation helps to retain better] 4. Practice Pacing : Increase speed gradually while maintaining comprehension. [Helpful while reading long, heavy reads with a storyline] 5. Chunking : Group words together to get through them faster. [Should be developed as a general habit] Happy speed-reading! 📑

Maharashtra IAS officer Dr Pooja Khedkar accused of using fake certificates for selection An impending crisis for UPSC and potentially for DoPT. Allegations of fake OBC, Fake Physically handicaped and first posting in home disctrict. Allegations that she even did not go to AIIMS medical test despite being called for 6 times. Then a case was filed by UPSC against her and CAT denied her posting. Still an IAS officer. If issue is not sorted by UPSC and DoPT then it may cast serious blow to transarancy of UPSC and exam process of Civil Services. There are allegations that UPSC and DoPT have this racket growing among elite circle who ensure all this to get IAS services. What do you think guys?
