To clear all the confusion regarding percentage, marks and points. **Percentage = sum of all marks / Total marks x 100. Eg, 150/200 x 100 = 75% This is percentage. ** The new semester syllabus has ©️Credit points for each subject which is fixed. ** Grade points are the points which are acquired by the students which includes Internal + Theory Exam + Practical Grade points tabel : 90 - 100 marks = O or 10 points 80 - 90 marks = A+ or 9 points 70 - 80 marks = A or 8 points 60 - 70 marks = B+ or 7 points 50 - 60 marks = B or 6 ponits Below 50 = Failed. **SGPA - Semester Grade points average, The sum of all ( grade ponts multiplied by credit points ) divided by credit points. Okay 👍 here’s the SGPA formula \text{SGPA} = \frac{\sum (Credits \times Grade\ Points)}{\sum Credits} Or SGPA = Sum of all ( credit points x Grade points) ÷ sum of credit points. Or Sub A credit - 6, Marks 65 i.e 7 Grade points. CxG = 6x7= 42 Sub B credit - 6, Marks 69 i.e still 7 Grade ponits ( According to grade points table ) CxG = 6x7= 42 Σ(C×G) = 42 + 42 = 84 ΣC = 6 + 6 = 12 SGPA = 84 ÷ 12 = 7.00 So the overall SGPA will depend on credit points, and grade points. Percentage and SGPA are both different cases and are both used in different ways.
