Taking for granted when gaining WISDOM giving him reasons for GOD'S various doings in the ordinary course of providence. The PREACHER wanting to show him the real basis of WISDOM being the acknowledgement the world's course is enigmatic, much of what happens is inexplicable to us, most occurrences are not rational, moral with GOD ordering them at all. This sermon shows a warning against the misconceived quest for understanding, stating the conclusion; if this quest being pursued must lead. EQUIPPING US FOR EVERY GOOD WORK. ************************ TODAY'S CHRISTIAN NEVER OBTAIN WISDOM FOR THE REASON OF NEGLECTING THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD. *********************** This FOOLISHNESS IS costly, by remaining the FOOL when GOD has provided the gift and those who do NOT want to be troubled opening their BIBLE where they will ALWAYS lack WISDOM!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ WHAT WISDOM IS NOT: WHAT IS THIS GIFT OF WISDOM FROM GOD?? WHAT AFFECT DOES WISDOM HAVE ON A PERSON?? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ IN MANY of life's situations, as in AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL, TRAIN STATION DIRECTORS, BUS TERMINAL OPERATORS AND DRIVERS, ALL having to make minute to minute decisions according to traffic coming and going and getting those to their destinations SAFELY and HOPEFULLY on time. Using the WISDOM given them through experience and the movements all around them. GOD'S WISDOM IS FAR SUPERIOR than these by maneuvering CERTAIN PEOPLE INTO CERTAIN SITUATIONS THAT SOMETIMES IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY!! LOOKING AT JOSEPH, for example being sold into slavery by his brothers; then into Egypt; imprisoned unjustly, only to become second ONLY to PHARAOH. Saving the lives of ALL his family and the line of JACOB, (Israel GOD'S chosen people) KEEPING his COVENANT and they ARE STILL HERE TODAY. GOD making ALL things GOOD THROUGH HIS WISDOM. People ALWAYS question GOD as to why HE allows these things to happen? Depression, physical, mental, or spiritual suffering by Christians being three separate things driving themselves crazy with futile inquiry. GOD has given GUIDANCE by APPLICATION of principles on occasion confirming to US by unusual provinces we may recognize with corroborative signs. Being different from trying to read a message about GOD'S secret purposes with unusual happenings to us ALL. Being so FAR from the GIFT OF WISDOM with the power to do this, presupposes our conscious inability to do it. WHAT KIND OF GIFT FROM GOD IS THIS WISDOM?? ------------------------------------------- As in KNOWING how to drive a car in every applicable circumstance, having the knowledge for each situation given you, the WISDOM to reach your destination safely. THE effect of DIVINE WISDOM IS TO ENABLE US TO DO JUST THE RIGHT THING'S IN EVERY SITUATION IN OUR LIVES REACHING OUR FINAL DESTINATION!! Make the RIGHT decision for all situations set before us REALISTICLY. WISDOM IS NOT with comforting illusions, FALSE sentiments or the usery of rose colored glasses. Most people than not are DILLUSIONAL at best, living in a dream world, heads in the clouds, feet off the ground; FAILING to see the world & our lives in it as they REALLY ARE. THE TRUTH IS; in this sin bred unrealism, is a reason there is no or little wisdom among us. EVEN with the soundest of mind and most orthodox among us. The book of ECCLESIASTES IS A BOOK OF SCRIPTURE DESIGNED to turn us into REALISTS. ECCLESIASTES TEACHES US: Interpretation meaning: ("THE PREACHER"); This book is a sermon with a text ("vanity of vanities," 1:2; 12:8),exposition of its theme in chapters (1&10) & APPLICATION (11:1 & 12:7) mostly this exposition is auto biographical. He (THE PREACHER) Identifies himself as "SON OF DAVID, KING OF JERUSALEM" (1:1).We know this is SOLOMON, or the preacher put this sermon in SOLOMON'S mouth, this not being our concern; but understanding it is of SOLOMON in the sense teaching lessons, SOLOMON had a unique opportunity to learn."vanity of vanities; ALL is VANITY." WHEN HE THUNDERS, the waters in the heavens ROAR; HE makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. HE sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from HIS storehouses. EVERYONE IS SENSELESS and without KNOWLEDGE; EVERY goldsmith IS shamed by his idols. His images ARE A FRAUD; they have NO breath in them. They are WORTHLESS, the objects of mockery; WHEN their JUDGMENT comes, they WILL perish.
