We are happy to welcome you at our university! 🎓 There are a lot of newcomers, so let us tell you some useful information about studying, university, programs, student life, etc. The academic year in Russia starts on September 1 and lasts until the end of June. It is divided into two semesters:

📍Fall (from September 1 to the end of January), 📍Spring (from mid-February to the end of June).

Sessions usually take place at the end of each semester. The exact dates may vary depending on your institute and program. Students get vacations twice a year:

📍In winter (usually from the end of January to mid-February) 📍In summer (usually from July to August)

🎓 First-year student, Polytech is calling! Join the “Day of the Firsts” Festival Your student life is about to begin with an adventure! Get ready for 13 zones and more than 100 stations! 🎈 September 1, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Bachelor’s students, your mission for the day: complete all the zones and earn Polycoins, which you can later exchange for… gifts! Important: just like in many movies, splitting up would be a fatal mistake. This quest is meant to be completed together with your whole group. An Adaptator will help you find your way and guide you around the entire campus. Master’s students, you’re invited to the celebration too! But you already have some experience, so you can complete all the stations on your own 😎

Yes, the last days of summer are here. But don’t be sad — the best part is that something new is about to begin.

A new semester means: 📚 new subjects and unexpected discoveries 🤝 new friends, conversations and adventures ☕️ coffee between classes and long talks after them 🎓 new opportunities to grow, create and try something different 🏙 and, of course, autumn Saint Petersburg — with its cozy streets and Polytech atmosphere.
