Aptos Foundation has committed to locking and permanently staking 210M APT, about 37% of the APT it held at mainnet.
Those tokens will never be sold or distributed. Foundation operations will be supported by the staking rewards they earn, rather than by selling the locked tokens themselves.

Testnet has processed 10B+ transactions, more than Mainnet. Under AIP-147, it now resets to a fresh genesis as needed, no more than once every six months, and always with at least a month's notice.

Encrypted Mempool (AIP-144) is now up for an onchain governance vote. If approved, users will be able to opt in to encrypt transaction details until the block is finalized, lowering the risk of MEV attacks.
