WHY? All provinces are still lagging in reporting for 2023. Many are still adding data to 2022. The final all-cause death numbers for all provinces are expected to be above the high of 2022 as a result. January 8th, 2024 to June 13th, 2024 reports saw an increase in Canadian reported All-Cause deaths of; +80 in 2021 +17,190 in 2022 +105,445 in 2023 Only Alberta, BC, Northwest Territories and Quebec have reported up to Week 14 for 2024, but even these numbers are not yet confirmed and will rise in the coming months. Alberta is showing a disturbing increase in deaths in the under-45 age group for 2023 that continues to rise. These are not deaths being driven by immigration or the “baby boomers”. Alberta is a stark example of this younger age group dying at an accelerated rate. Nova Scotia Nova Scotia deleted 25 weeks of data from 2023 in April 2024. This removed over 4,900 deaths from the data. In May, Nova Scotia reported to Week 38 with noticeable lagging in weekly reporting. This month (June 2024) Nova Scotia deleted 37 weeks of data from 2023. This removed 5,805 deaths from the data. Manitoba Manitoba has only reported to Week 23 of 2023. This reduces the Canadian Federal total for 2023 by another 6,000+ deaths for that year.
