Speaking part 1 Advertising. 1. How do you feel about advertising? I feel neutral I mean it's doing its job. However, sometimes it can be really irritating. I mean, some ads drive me up the wall being shown again and again unexpectedly, especially, if they are obvious hype or when they pop up while I'm doing something important on the internet. 2. Do you like advertisements? Not all them, but I like some adverts due to a few aspects included such as creativity and humour. You know, there are some ads that are, I think, masterpieces because of their exceptional character. For example, the one showing chips called Doritos. 3. Is there much advertising in your country? Yes, there is too much. They have become really invasive in the last decades. I unavoidably encounter different types of ads on a daily basis such as billboards on the streets or I'm often given flyers promoting some new restaurants or tour agency. @Advanced_with_uk

Speaking part 1. Being bored. 1. What things are boring to you? Well, one of the most tedious things for me is to wait for somebody for a long time, especially, when I'm not in the mood. I mean, it not only makes me get bored but also I may get infuriated and the person that I'm waiting for will definitely get affected. 2. What do you do when you get bored? I try to get engaged with different things to mitigate my boredom. One of them is to just scroll you tube shorts, which is my guilty pleasure. Or I just watch the scenery I'm surrounded by if I'm somewhere I haven't been before. 3. Do you ever get bored? Yeah, from time to time I get bored even though I try to avoid it. I feel boredom when I don't have a tight deadline to accomplish something important or I fed up with doing my pastimes because of too much spare time. 4. Do you think school is boring? Despite havingan undeniably monotonous timetable, it's not that boring for me. Because I always have the company to spend meaningful time together. I mean I have few friends who share the same interests with me such as action movies or football. 5. Do you feel more bored than when you were young? I guess there's no distinct difference between the level of boredom I feel now and used to feel in the past. I mean I feel the same emotions or , at least, I think so. However, the activities I do when I feel bored have changed. In the past I used to go out and play some active games but now, as I mentioned, I use social media. @Advanced_with_uk

#reading. Paragraph A. In the 1970s, as part of a large-scale research programme exploring the area of interspecies communication, Dr Francine Patterson from Stanford University attempted to teach two lowland gorillas called Michael and Koko a simplified version of Sign Language. According to Patterson, the great apes were capable of holding meaningful conversations, and could even reflect upon profound topics, such as love and death. During the project, their trainers believe they uncovered instances where the two gorillas' linguistic skills seemed to provide reliable evidence of intentional deceit. In one example, Koko broke a toy cat, and then signed to indicate that the breakage had been caused by one of her trainers. In another episode, Michael ripped a jacket belonging to a trainer and, when asked who was responsible for the incident, signed 'Koko'. When the trainer expressed some scepticism, Michael appeared to change his mind, and indicated that Dr Patterson was actually responsible, before finally confessing.
