A massive life-threatening storm has drenched South Florida has prompted Governor Ron DeSantis to declare a state of emergency.
The heavy storm caused flooding throughout several roads in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas, “turning several roads in south Florida into rivers and lakes,” which forced some drivers to abandon their cars and swim to safety.
The National Weather Service warned of “catastrophic and life-threatening flash flooding.”

Over the weekend, eight individuals from Tajikistan who authorities believe have connections to ISIS were detained in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and New York, according to three individuals with knowledge of the situation who spoke to NBC News on Tuesday.
The three insiders’ job positions and credibility were purportedly confirmed by the outlet.
According to the sources, the suspects were apprehended by employees of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after coming to the attention of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Former President Donald Trump has a 2-in-3 chance of winning the presidential election in November, according to The Economist’s election forecast model launched on Wednesday.
The model currently predicts that Trump has a 66-in-100 chance of winning, while President Joe Biden has a 33-in-100 chance of winning.
The results are similar to a forecast model from Decision Desk HQ and The Hill released last month.
In that model’s most recent update, Trump holds a 56-in-100 chance of winning the presidency, while Biden has a 44-in-100 chance.
In mid-June 2020, the same model gave Biden an 83% chance of winning the White House.

The Russian flotilla now appears to be off the coast of Florida, on their way to Cuba. US Coast Guard Cutter Stone has been shadowing the Russian Flotilla which is off the east coast of Florida.
A US P-8A Poseidon bearing tactical hex code AE686F has just turned their transponder on in the general area where USCGC Stone was last beaconing on AIS. In addition, a Royal Canadian Air Force P-3 Orion is joining the US Navy P-8A to assist.

Russian state media claims that countries in Latin America could host missiles that can strike American targets.
In a monologue, host Evgeny Popov referred to comments by President Joe Biden that U.S. permission for Kyiv to use weapons to hit Russia did not mean that they could be used to hit Moscow or any government buildings.
The clip then showed Popov's wife and co-anchor Olga Skabeeva reporting from the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum where she said Putin had addressed how to respond to deliveries to Ukraine of "high-precision long range missiles" and permission to use weapons on Russian territory.
She said one "asymmetric" response from Moscow would be to deliver missiles "to those nations that are willing to strike our enemies," and listed allies such as Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea.
