Globally, cataract is the single largest cause of blindness. Common in those after 50, cataracts however are curable through a simple corrective surgery. In Ethiopia, Ummah Welfare Trust is delivering free cataract surgeries to 2,000 deserving patients this year alhamdulillah. uwt.org

People with paraplegia or severe disabilities experience some of the worst poverty in the developing world. Having no mobility aid, such as a wheelchair or crutches, completely hinders any attempt at a normal life.
