The first graph provides information on how many thousands of people worked in UK steel industry while the second graph illustrates the changes in the amount of steel produced and imported, as well as variations in the total demand for steel from 1970 to 2000. It is clear that the employment rate in steel industry saw a gradual fall over a 30-year period, reaching their lowest level eventually. It is also worth mentioning although there was a decrease in overall demand for steel, domestic producers couldn’t still meet this demand, leading to an increasing reliance on imports over the timeframe shown. Turning to employment patterns in steel industry, In 1970, 50.000 were employed in the industry, which was the highest figure throughout the first graph. Following next two decades, this number declined significantly to around 20.000, and remained almost stable until 2000. Regarding the second chart, it is noticeable that the total demand for steel was so high that domestic producers consistently failed to meet it. In 1970, the overall demand for steel stood at 200.000, which was nearly twice as high as the amount of steel that was imported. Meanwhile, the production of steel was notably lower than the figure for demand at 160.000. In the next three decades, both its demand and production of steel fell by around half, while the amount of steel imported experienced a rapid growth, reaching a high of 75.000 in 2000. 238 Words @iskanielts.

There is a continuous increase in global demand for food. The reasons driving behind are ,I think, population growth and food waste. Steps can ,however, be taken to change this situation for the better. The two factors contributing to the rise in demand for food globally are obvious. One of these is a non-stop growth in population. The global population is continually increasing, adding more mouths to feed. For example, as of 2024, the estimated number of people living on Earth is over 8 billion, and it is projected to keep growing. This, in effect, leads to the shortage of food available to people since the amount of food produced is not rising in line with the global demand for food. Additionally, a significant amount of food is wasted globally - roughly a third of the world’s food, both at a consumer level and throughout supply chain. This waste often contributes to higher demand because more food needs to be produced to meet actual consumer demands. However, it is still possible to alleviate this problematic situation around the entire globe. First and foremost, it is important to understand that there can not be any limit introduced to reduce the number of people living across the world instead the governments should invest significant amount of money in food production, strengthening the ways to cope with crop yield failures that can mainly be caused by pests, diseases and poor soil health. This can, in turn, help governments to meet demands for food in their countries. Another viable solution can , I think, be the introduction of a new system focusing on up-cycling food instead of wasting. For example, turning tomatoes into tomato sauce that can be canned and stored for a long-time is one of the main targets of the system. As a result, there can be a decline in food waste, which can help countries to deal with global food demands. To conclude, While the reasons behind the growth in food demands across the world are continues rise of the population and the waste of food, I think aforementioned workable solutions could help to alleviate this concerning situation. People’s views differ as to whether students should be given a courage to work part-time in several counties. Although having students work as a part-timer might seem logical to some, I firmly believe that students should prioritize their academic performance and consider low quality of job. On the one hand, having a part-time job for students can be justifiable for two reasons. First, students can easily gain a sense of financial independence by earning their own money, reducing the financial burden on their families. This, in turn, helps parents feel less stressed, not thinking about how to cover family expenses. Secondly, holding a job while studying teaches students to manage their time effectively and efficiently, balancing work, academics and personal life. This ,as a result, helps students become mature faster in life, resulting in a bright future. On the other hand, it is suggested by some, and I agree that students shouldn’t have part-time work for the following two clear reasons. One of the notable ones is a decline in academic performance. Working part-time while studying is, I think, challenging for most students, leading to a decline in their academic achievement. This low quality of knowledge might then affect their future career and life as whole. Aside from this, many part-time jobs available to students are low-skill and low-paying, offering limited opportunities for meaningful skill development and future career. By doing so, students can just waste their time that can be better invested in education, which is considered as an investment in yourself to unlock a world of opportunities. In conclusion, while some think that working as a part-time employee for students might be beneficial, I strongly oppose this view as this can negatively affect students’ academic performance and can only be offered limited skills in part-time jobs. 298 words @iskanielts.

The illustrations show the transformation of tools used to cut objects throughout the history. It was small pieces of stones that were removed from a larger stone to shape the tools. It is noticeable that the comparison presents a clear difference in tools’ complexity and craftsmanship. It is also worth noting that a key change in the evolvement of tools was that it was given rather standard shape resembling a drop and its surface also became smoother. Turning to the appearance of Tool A, it was the cutting tool used in early period, specifically 1.4 million years ago. From the front and rear views, it looked uneven in appearance with a height and width of 5.5cm and 3.5cm, respectively. Meanwhile, the side view of the tool had almost an oval-like shape with a dull point making it hard for early humans to cut objects. Regarding the cutting stone (Tool B) used later 800,000 years ago, it is clear that there was a significant change in the form of the tools that made them sharper and even. Now, as its shape was changed, it looked more like a drop with a height and width of 10cm and 5 cm, accordingly from the front and back views making it convenient to use. From the side view, Tool B was rather sharper with a pointed tip with a width of 2cm which similar to that of Tool A. 235 words @iskanielts.
