This year MasterCard is going to remove credit card numbers from their cards and enable their cards to work with biometric ID, and "Tokenization."
That's right, you get to pay with a smile or a wave. 😁 👋🏻
We all know how easy those are to duplicate, especially with tech like AI, so some sort of more robust system will likely be invented, something along the lines of a mark could be coming next, and probably will.
They're only keeping the card to keep people from freaking out as much. Slowly boiling the frog, so to speak.
Use more cash. Withdraw cash, pay with cash as much as possible. Keep cash alive. They can't track cash unless everyone logs and reports serial numbers, which will never happen.
Here's their article:

Welcome to the new world ...
This pocket-sized AI drone can kill in seconds, making it both fascinating and alarming. It is capable of dodging stationary and moving obstacles with a 98% success rate, while shifting its trajectory up to 50 times per second to avoid interception.
Equipped with tiny, highly accurate ammunition, the drone delivers a 0.5cm margin of error on its targets. Its facial recognition technology boasts 99.8% accuracy, making it highly efficient in identifying specific individuals or objects. The drone can track moving targets across various terrains with less than a 2-meter deviation, and it operates with 95% effectiveness even in signal-jammed environments.
Additionally, it connects to a vast data network for real-time target identification. Known as the Stinger, this mini-drone uses these advanced features to deliver lethal precision with a controlled micro-explosion..

Doxxed through VPN.
"A common mistake I have seen people who want to remain anonymous online make is using a VPN consistently with burner accounts, but then they use the same VPN with the same IP address at around the same time to access accounts already associated with them, such as their online banking or a Gmail they have used since they were a teenager."
This is a must read if you use VPNs.

Imagine: You wake up, and all your social media accounts are gone.
Deleted. Banned. Cancelled.
Everyone on social media faces this risk, not just those on the fringe writing controversial content.
What if there was a better way?
A new "social protocol" where you cannot be banned, where you cannot lose your audience, and where you cannot be censored.
Meet Nostr ... Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Reach.
See this 👉 post for two good Nostr apps, one for Android and one for iOS. Other apps are also available.

A while back Louis Rossman and FUTO gave us the open source not-FOSS app Grayjay, which is designed to let you surf and search all your favorite video streaming services at once.
Grayjay does everything the popular BraveNewPipe app does, plus more.
So far Grayjay works w/these platforms (to a certain extent)
- Rumble
- Odysee
- Youtube
- FUTO's PeerTube Instance
- Twitch
- Patreon
- Soundcloud
- Kick
- Nebula
Sorry, no BitChute support yet.
Grayjay lets you download videos for offline viewing, & then export those to your Movies folder on your phone.
You can download Gray using one of these options:
1. Get it through the Zapstore
1. Sideload the apk install file 👉 here
2. Add the FUTO repo to F-Droid and install from there
Their GitLab source code can be found 👉 here.
Another major benefit is Grayjay will Chromecast movies, without Google Play Services installed.

Installing Latest Nextcloud Desktop Client
(Using Zap Appimage Manager)
Most Linux default repositories don't include the latest version of Nextcloud Desktop.
You can get the latest version of Nextcloud Desktop Sync Client using Zap Appimage manager and the Nextcloud Desktop appimage from their GitHub "releases" page.
This is the command you use:
zap install --github --from nextcloud-releases/desktop

Great American Family
(Non-Woke Christmas Movies)
Tis the season for Christmas movies.
Unfortunately Hallmark started putting woke Marxist LGBT queer debauchery in their movies a few years back, ruining their Christmas movie tradition.
When Hallmark announced they were going to add filth to their movies, the "Queen of Hallmark Christmas," Candace Cameron Bure, announced her move to Hallmark's competition, Great American Family, which Hallmark sometimes gets their movies from.
Great American Family is now producing a lineup of Christmas movies every year, just like Hallmark, but without the homo debauchery. It is a great alternative.
They also have Christian based faith films.
The app for watching Great American movies is called "PureFlix". They offer a 7 day free trial if you want to try them out.
You can create a PureFlix account at PureFlix.com. You can also get their app onto DeGoogled phones using the Aurora Store.

### Japanese Police Hunt Down Criminals by Tracing Monero
https://cointelegraph.com/news/monero-transactions-japanese-authorities-arrest-18-scammers
The crime is the crime. There is no such thing as money laundering.
Encryption is not as secure as people think.
- Cash is not traceable.
- Cash doesn't leave a permanent history on a blockchain.
- Cash does not charge a transaction fee.
- Cash does not require high tech electronics and a complex computer network to function.
- Cash does not require permission from 3rd party verification.

Logitech does not offer any software for connecting or managing their devices in Linux.
While the Linux kernel now does a great job of recognizing and connecting to Logitech receivers, there is no native support in Linux distros for switching your mouse, or your keyboard, to a different Logitech receiver.
Solaar is an open source project that has been around for a long time. It let's you connect your Logitech mouse or keyboard to any receiver, which is handy if you have a device or receiver go bad.
Note: The latest version of Solaar appears to require root privileges.
Solaar is available in the distro repositories, so it should be easy to install.
On Debian based distros you type:
sudo apt install solaar
This is the Solaar GitHub page:

Boot your Linux laptop with a more professional or fun boot menu using the "Grub Customizer" GUI program, and then grabbing a theme from Gnome.org Grub Themes, such as the "Distro Grub Themes", which has individual custom files for whichever distro you want.
With Grub Customizer you can:
- Install themes from Gnome.org Grub Themes
- Move, remove, or rename menu entries
- Edit the contents of menu entries or creating new ones
- Set default operating systems and kernel parameters
- Customizing the appearance of the GRUB menu, including background images and text colors
Sometimes Grub Customizer is not included in the default repos, and sometimes it is, so here is the PPA. (for Ubuntu based distros).
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt update
sudo apt install grub-customizer
This post 👉 goes into a little more detail.

Just having a phone nullifies the privacy of privacy phones ... given that the spy agency can get access to the cell tower's phone location data, which they all can do.
"If you take your phone between even just your home and work —doxxed locations— it is trivial to associate it with your true-name identity..."

Set Up Fingerprint Reader in Linux Mint
(This is not a good idea if you want to keep you device more secure) 🤷🏼♂️
Note: This works on the Dell XPS-13 9365 2-in-1, and on the Dell Latitude 5400 fingerprint readers
Note: For XPS-13, swipe down over sensor. For Latitude 5400 press ... or swipe. The XPS-13 usually takes a few tries.
Note: This will break the eCryptFS personally encrypted home folder 1st time login
1. Make sure your fingerprint device is compatible with Linux
- type
lsusb
- check to see if the device is included on this website: https://fprint.freedesktop.org/supported-devices
- If lsusb shows a Broadcom device, you may be able to get the driver in the next step.
2. For Broadcom fingerprint devices, such as the "Broadcom Corp. 58200" on the Dell Latitude 5400, grab and install the latest .deb Broadcom driver package from this Ubuntu Canonical website: (Debian based distros only)
(Note, this is not an encrypted secure link - so you may not want to install it.)
http://dell.archive.canonical.com/updates/pool/public/libf/libfprint-2-tod1-broadcom/
"libfprint-2-tod1-broadcom_5.12.018-0ubuntu1~22.04.01_amd64.deb" is what worked on the Dell Latitude 5400 running Mint 22.
3. Make sure fingerprint packages are installed.:
sudo apt install fprintd libpam-fprintd
4. Enroll your fingerprints
fprintd-enroll -f right-index-finger <username>
Here's a list of "fingerprint" options. Replace right-index-finger in the above command with one of these.
- left-thumb
- left-index-finger
- left-middle-finger
- left-ring-finger
- left-little-finger
- right-thumb
- right-index-finger
- right-middle-finger
- right-ring-finger
- right-little-finger.
5. Enable the fingerprint option in pam. Hit space bare to enable an option. Make sure to leave the other options enabled so if fingerprint fails you can still log in.
sudo pam-auth-update
6. Set max fingerprint tries to a larger number, such as 5 or 10
- edit the /etc/pam.d/common-auth file and set the max_tries equal to something larger than 1.
sudo nano /etc/pam.d/common-auth
max_tries=10
7. Verify the fingerprint works
fprintd-verify
Fingerprint should now work in terminal and login screen.

XournalPP - Hand Written Note App for Linux Tablets
XournalPP is a good hand writing app for Linux Tablets. It should NOT be confused with "Xournal" without the "PP". XournalPP is much more advance.
XournalPP can be used for things such as:
1. Taking Notes (of course)
2. Annotating PDFs, which puts the annotations in a separate file, without modifying the original PDF.
3. Doing Homework Assignments, which can be exproted to a PDF and turned in electronically.
To install the latest version on Ubuntu based distros, you can install the XournalPP official PPA repository:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:apandada1/xournalpp-stable
sudo apt update
sudo apt install xournalpp
Other installation options can be found on the XournalPP installation page.
