AUGUST & SEPTEMBER •passing IELTS,SAT •Confirm your final college list, application deadlines, and requirements. •Write your college-specific supplemental essays. •Ask an expert outside reader to review your Common •Application and personal statement. •Continue to research scholarships,adding requirements and deadlines to your list.(помимо университетских стипендий есть государственные,президентские и тд,на которые нужны подаваться отдельно) •Set up on-campus or local rep interviews with colleges.(Очень важно показывать свой интерес в университетах самой комиссии поступления) •Check in with your recommendation writers. •Update your Letter of Rec Questionnaire and ask for a letter of recommendation from your school counselor. •Apply to scholarships throughout the school year.  SEPTEMBER - NOVEMBER •Complete and send out all EA and ED applications no later than late October. (These deadlines are typically around November 1.) •Many portfolio-based arts programs have December 1st deadlines. daily habits that got me 8.0: 1)Подкаст на любую тему с вниманием на интонацию,использование фразовых глаголов,идиом (Телеграмм канал) 2)Читать 4 статьи и выписать как минимум 20 слов,1 идиому и 1 фразовый глагол. (Читая , обращайте внимание на использование COMPLEX грамматических структур) 3)Составить 40 предложений с использованием новых 20 слов 4)Просмотреть 4 видео на ютуб на band 6.5,band 7.5;band 8.5/9.0 и самый низкий балл с анализом их ошибок,обратите внимания на беглость речи, частота использования сложных грамматических структур,диапазон словаря •после просмотра видео запишите на диктофон хотя бы 1 практику речи и 1 и 2 и 3 часть (полный practice test) 5) Выполните полный practice test в сайте ieltsonlineielts (Включая все секции,запишите результат,при возможности сделайте работу над ошибками и сразу сообщите мне какие слабые стороны вы сами заметили,какие части даются сложнее всего) 6)Ютуб каналы для boost of listening skills: •madelineargy •TEDxtalks •Jay Shetty Podcast •Learn English With Tv Series

📊 How to Actually Write Graph Tasks for IELTS Writing Task 1 If your Task 1 sounds like “the graph shows… and it increased… and then decreased…” -we need to fix that 😭 Here’s the structure that examiners actually reward (and what almost no one teaches properly): 1) Start with a 1-sentence overview, not a summary ❌ Don’t rewrite numbers. ✔️ Write the main trend: increase? decrease? stability? contrast? Example: Overall, both countries experienced steady growth, with Country A rising more sharply. 2) Group, don’t list The No.1 reason for Band 5–6: students describe every little spike. The No.1 skill for Band 7–8: group data logically. Think in patterns: • high vs low • early vs late • growing vs declining • similar vs different 3) Use “big movements” first Before writing details, identify: • the highest point • the lowest point • the most dramatic change • the stable period These create strong topic sentences. 4) Detail paragraphs = “trend + data” A perfect sentence has 3 elements: 1. direction (increased/fell/remained stable) 2. time period 3. numbers Example: From 2000 to 2010, the figure for Country A rose steadily from 2 million to 5 million. 5) Use advanced comparison language Replace simple verbs with more academic ones: • “saw a sharp rise” • “experienced a gradual decline” • “was significantly higher than” • “remained roughly the same” Sounds small, but this is literally what pushes you into Band 7+.
