Dr. Emily McDonald and other researchers from Canada examined data from 15 randomized clinical trials, eight of which were carried out by the pharmaceutical company Roche but were never published. They looked at whether the Tamiflu medication, which contains the active ingredient oseltamivir, was linked to fewer outpatient flu patients being admitted to the hospital. Even if some of the trials showed promise for Tamiflu, others did not. Many exhibited little to no effect.
