Does AI Make Us Dumber? As Artificial Intelligence becomes part of our daily lives—from autocorrecting our emails to suggesting what we should watch, read, or even think about—many are wondering: Is AI making us smarter, or actually dumber? The Case for "Yes, It Does": 1. Mental Laziness: AI tools often do the thinking for us—whether it's calculating math problems, writing essays, or summarizing articles. Over time, this can weaken our critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 2. Shortened Attention Span: Easy access to AI-generated quick answers might discourage deep learning and research. 3. Loss of Basic Skills: With AI assisting in writing, coding, or even decision-making, people may lose touch with fundamental skills like creative writing, analytical reasoning, or basic memory retention. The Case for "No, It Doesn't": 1. New Skills Are Born: AI isn't replacing thinking—it’s shifting it. We now need skills like prompt engineering, AI literacy, and ethical analysis, which weren't essential before. Amplifying Human Potential: AI handles repetitive tasks, freeing us to focus on creative, strategic, and innovative thinking. Accessibility to Knowledge: AI can democratize education and information, helping more people access knowledge quickly and at scale. So, What's the Truth? AI is a tool, like a calculator or a library. It’s not about AI itself making us dumber or smarter. It’s about how we use it. If we rely on it blindly, we risk intellectual laziness. If we use it thoughtfully, it can boost our learning, creativity, and productivity. Bottom Line: - AI won’t make you dumber, unless you let it. - Use AI to support your thinking, not to replace it. Stay curious. Stay engaged. Keep learning.

Procrastination: What It Is & How to Beat It Procrastinating is putting off important tasks by choosing easier or more enjoyable ones — but it often leads to stress, guilt, and missed opportunities. How to Stop Procrastinating: Break big tasks into smaller ones: Make large tasks feel less overwhelming by taking them step by step. Set rewards for yourself : Motivate yourself with small treats after completing tasks. Put your phone out of reach: Eliminate distractions to stay focused. Pair the easy with the hard: Start with a simple task to build momentum before tackling a harder one. Figure out why you’re procrastinating: Is it fear, boredom, or lack of clarity? Understanding the cause helps you fix it.

Ikigai (生き甲斐) is a Japanese concept that essentially translates to "a reason for being." It's about finding purpose and meaning in life.
