This is a common example of how most problems don't exist
They are created and attempted to be solved by the society
It's an absolute waste of time
Once you realize the problem doesn't exist, you'll have time to work on yourself
Else, you'll be forever stuck solving petty problems

Do you wake up several times at night?
Here's the solution:
Don't go back to sleep. Meditate, walk, read, work, exercise. Do anything but don't go back to sleep unless you're extremely tired. Tired, not lazy. If you're tired, you'll naturally fall back to sleep and won't even remember in most cases
I see a lot of people suggesting supplements. But most of you don't need them. You just need to wake the fuck up and get work.
Now, I am obviously not a doctor. So, all I want you to do, is try what I said for a few days, and see if it works for you. Also, you waking up several times shouldn't be because of substances like caffeine or something. It should be your body naturally waking up.

Repost from Marv’s Tribe
Three ways to create passion:
1) Find something you love so much that you can’t do without it
2) Find something you hate so much that you’d do anything to avoid it
3) Find a cause that’s bigger than you & dedicate your life to it...

Want to spot a miserable person?
Someone who constantly craves for activities that spike his dopamine. For instance, eating junk food and watching Netflix everyday.
Want to spot an even more miserable person?
Someone who delays the dopamine spikes. For instance, avoiding junk food and Netflix for 6 days, and having a cheat day on Sunday.
This person might become successful, but will always be miserable. He won't just regret the Sunday. He'll also live the remaining 6 days in pain because of the anticipation of Sunday
If you want to avoid such misery, get your joy from activities that benefit you.
Sure you'll always be aiming for more. But don't live your entire life waiting for that 1 win. You're obviously going to move to the next goal and keep suffering
Now, keep in mind, when I say suffering and misery, I am not referring to the short span of suffering. For instance, the pain of exercising. That lasts for a short time.
The regret and effects of not exercising last longer.
PS: I'll write a detailed thread on this topic soon

The world is a shitty place
You can find all the good in nature that you want, but the society is remains filled with shit
You can't stay optimistic. You have to become realistic. Fight when you can, defend when you have to. But don't expect them to lay down their weapons

How many of you will be okay with someone hammering your leg everyday just for a few minutes, while giving you no incentive or benefit?
I hope none. The same goes for performing shitty activities in "moderation"
A shitty activity always remains a shitty activity. Whether you do it for hours or for a few minutes
Sure it takes time to get over your addiction, but at least stop fooling yourself with the word "moderation". Else you'll get no further than you already are.

Most philosophy is nothing but entertainment, often filled with knowledge
You can use it as a replacement to modern forms of entertainment
But once you have gotten over your addiction to modern forms of entertainment, you have to find better forms of learning
Philosophy will take hours to explain the the concept that should take a few minutes to be explained
Initially it's important so that you understand the depth, but don't get stuck
Move towards learning practices, performing meditation and reading knowledge that's more direct

As a human, you're always going to want more
Even if you're satisfied in life right now, you're still going to work towards maintaining your current state of living. And by doing so, you're indeed wanting more.
But your want shouldn't lead to your suffering
Learn to enjoy the small things in life like the sunset and sunrise. And work your ass off at the same time.

How To Be Happy
I am not going to use this post to justify why you should be happy. You should have figured that out already (if you want to be happy)
If you’re someone who genuinely doesn’t want to be happy, you can skip the post
With that being said, let’s dive in:
To be happy, you need to find activities that:
-Are under your control (at least partially)
-Benefit you
-Are not usually suggested by the modern world
Let’s start with the 3rd point.
Everything that the society asks you to do; it’s bullshit. They say movies, travelling, relationships, etc can make you happy. It’s bullshit.
Sure, they might not be saying it directly. But they have made you to believe it.
They created movies to make you watch what you could never be, or what you can never have. Just to give you a smile on your face for a few seconds, and years of self-hate
They say travelling will make you happy. It never will. Spending 100s and 1000s of dollars to live in a resort and eat shit food will never make you happy. All it will do is make you sick.
And relationships…they can’t make you happy unless you’re happy already.
Look, I am not asking you to give up these things completely. If you love travelling, do it. If you have a great partner, that’s amazing.
But you have to ask yourself:
“Am I forcing myself to be happy with these things because they are supposed to make me happy”
Often, you’ll find it difficult to accept the Truth, but you have to.
After all, do you really want to be happy at the cost of destroying your mind and body. I don’t think so.
So then, how can you be happy?
As mentioned earlier, find activities that are under your control and benefit you
For example: Exercise, creative work, eating good food, meditation, reading, walking, etc
Initially, you’ll find these activities boring. After all, you have been playing video games, watching porn and eating popcorn all your life.
But with time, they’ll bring you true happiness. You’ll love your work. You’ll love to meditate, read and walk.
I know this is true, because this is how I changed my life.
I used to need a girl, movies and video games to make me feel happy. But I don’t need those things anymore (just to be happy)
All I do everyday is work, meditate, listen to podcast, exercise and eat good food. And guess what…it brings happiness
Happiness that I never felt while I was in a theatre.
So, spend your next few days finding such activities. Don’t care about what the society will say. Because they’ll always say something.

Next post will be on "How to be happy"
I have talked a lot about happiness. It's time I share my complete perspective. This won't be the normal "just be happy advice".

Never justify your actions and decisions by blaming someone or something
You ain't just fooling yourself. You're willingly giving control over yourself to others.

Most of the people can't be happy alone
They need to constantly travel, watch movies, go to "college", etc to have fun in life
They won't let you believe you can be happy. They'll make you do the same activities to validate their ideas and gain profits from you.
Unless, you an introvert. In that case, they'll sell you video games and home delivered food.
They'll make sure they gain something from you
Don't fall for their traps
Find something that truly makes you happy and helps you gain something in life
Sure they'll try to stop you, but you have defend yourself against their techniques
