Seems like the era of projects is long gone, all we should be making is products.

I’m suddenly feeling an urge to go full throttle in the opposite direction and make all my software copyleft.

The internet is going crazy now .. we're literally living in the social media hype .. you don't need a business idea just take something that went viral lately and title your business <hype-title><something creative>.com and you'll have a short lived profitable business 😁 @selfmadecoder

Idk why, but I just can’t get myself to like LeetCode — I kinda hate it. For some reason, it reminds me of EUEE 😩. So next time we talk, just know I’ve got zero LeetCode experience… and honestly, I don’t even want to. Don’t think I’ll touch it in the future either (at least that’s how I feel right now). @selfmadecoder

Got accepted to a private AI hackathon 👀 Out of tons of applicants (not sure how many exactly 😁), only 4–6 builders were chosen. It's going down all Saturday and Sunday — online — and it's gonna be fire 🔥 @selfmadecoder

Thought it’d be funny to schedule this for 6am so it hits you right when you wake up 😂 It’s 3:40am rn, and if you’re stressing over which alarm sound to use — here you go 😁🔥 @selfmadecoder

This isn't just about babis win or bekas win theres a shift in mentality , we went from feeling like oh its impossible to do it from ethiopia to oh, now i can do it too this is the win for any developer that has the same goals that these people showed us is possible to execute from here

You’re seeing the pattern, right? 🔥 @selfmadecoder

I am super happy to announce that ScholarXIV.com has gotten an amazing Angel Investor. He is investing $10k for 8% of the company at a post-money evaluation of $125k, and also apart from the investment, this investor is paying and helping with the incorporation of the company. The investor is very incredible first for reaching out and then in that the investment is solely based on me and not on the product itself. Meaning I could pivot, I could decide the date I'll accept the investment and just makes things very flexible for me. Currently I have decided to deal with the investment after YC applications which the investor is completely fine with but I have now started speeding up the company formation process in the US while expenses are covered by the Angel Investor. There's still so much to go, so many decisions to make and most importantly so much to build. But even being in this spot and position is all God's good doing and grace. I also would like to thank all of you for the support and encouragement. This's wonderful news and it's all credits to God. #ScholarXIVWeb @Dagmawi_Babi

🌍Fun Fact: In 1964, Zambia tried to launch a human to the Moon before the USA and USSR! 🇿🇲 A high school science teacher named Edward Makuka Nkoloso created the “Zambian Space Program” using oil drums as training capsules!
😄 It didn’t make it to space, but it made history as Africa’s bold dream!

Please don’t hesitate to help in any way you can. It doesn’t have to be money—anything helps. If you know of a job opportunity, a dorm room, or even just a place to stay, any kind of support would mean a lot. It takes real courage for someone to come forward and ask for help, especially when sharing something so deeply personal. So please, don’t turn a blind eye. Even the smallest act of kindness can change someone’s life. Thank you all for your support—it truly means the world.

🙏 Let’s Show Up for One of Our Own He’s a 3rd-year IT student at Bahir Dar University. This summer was supposed to be for internship — but instead, he’s stuck with no support, no stable place, and barely any food. His mom couldn’t keep him, and other family members didn’t want him to go to Addis for internship. After 20 days off-campus, things got so bad he stopped eating. He asked for help — and thankfully, some kind people stepped in. But it’s not enough to keep going like this. If you can help in any way — with food, a place, or just sharing this — please do. Every little thing matters. ❤️ CBE 1000578576995 MEAREG TEAME GEBREMESKEL Telebirr: 0974158040 May God bless you for your kindness.

You have no idea how much this excites me… it’s unreal.😁 @selfmadecoder
