For me, the education system kinda takes the fun out of failing. They make you so scared of failing that it kills your creativity and stops you from trying new things. And I’m not just talking about uni—high school was even worse. If you wanna create something, you need first-principle thinking, and that comes with the cost of failing. Look at SpaceX’s Falcon 9—do you think it landed perfectly on its first try? It took multiple failures and millions of dollars in losses before success. How are we supposed to not fail and innovate? That’s like chaining someone up and blaming them for not walking. Just my two cents tho—don’t take it personally 😊🤷‍♂ @selfmadecoder

"Having a specific way of doing things" is also called industry standard, and highly recommended. Do you think I also agree with Laravel 100% of the time? No. But I usually follow the recommended path so another laravel dev can also maintain my apps if I'm not around. That's the exact reason design patterns are also recommended. Follow the best practices even if you don't agree with them for the sake of the team and your company's future. Plus security, tech support, and tooling ... are affected because you don't like the way nestjs handle something. It's good if it fits, otherwise, no one is forcing you to use that part but at least stay on track for the rest of the conventions.

Hey everyone, I’ve been getting a lot of DMs from devs and tech bros asking me to share their channels. Just to let you know, I’m not doing that anymore. I’ve noticed people starting to see this as a mainstream channel, but for me, it’s always been my personal blog. I want this channel to stay personal. It’s just a space where I share my journey, my thoughts, and random stuff I believe in or feel like posting. 😅 It's it not a mainstream channel / media . That said, if I come across projects I genuinely like, I’ll still share them. But having almost 6.7k people here wasn’t something I expected, and I’m super grateful for all of you who’ve been following along. Thank you so much—it means a lot! 🙏 @selfmadecoder

it’s time to get Telegram Premium. I need some info—where can I buy it, how much does it cost, and all that? 😊 @selfmadecoder

About 4 months ago, I built a cloud storage solution on top of Telegram just for fun. 🛠 Since then, I’ve been using it myself. The best part? Now you can make the most of Telegram's unlimited storage with an app that gives you the best user experience. 🚀 Now, I just want to share it with you guys because I’ve found it super useful for me! Check it out here: https://yourtgcloud.vercel.app/ Want to explore the code? It’s open source! 🖥 Check out the repo here: https://github.com/Kumneger0/TGCloud

Here’s a PDF I created that covers basic design principles in a simple and straightforward way. It breaks down five key rules—Color & Contrast, Hierarchy, Alignment, Typography, and Spacing—using the acronym CHATS. It’s easy to follow with visual examples. Enjoy! @natyiu0

How do you even become an organized person? Like, how do you plan your day? Cuz I’m not the type to plan anything, and I suck at using all these productivity tools. Any tips are appreciated—even if you think I don’t need to bother with this stuff. Just wanna hear another perspective outside my own. @selfmadecoder

Yo, if you’ve got lil bros or sis, you better watch out fr. We’re like the Millennials of Ethiopia 'cause of the late internet boom, and now we’ve got kids using Instagram and snap-chat in elementary school—bruv, that’s wild. Not tryna sound old or anything, but elementary is way too early. With the vents I’ve read, I wouldn’t even be shocked if depression and suicide rates blow up in the next gen. Like, if they start living like US kids there is no way for them to be safe not to feel the same right ?? Let 'em grow a brain first, man ... don’t let these evil algorithms cook 'em. @selfmadecoder

It's been years since I checked this channel fr. Back in freshman year, 1st semester, I used to read vents all the time—then stopped. Today, a friend sent me one, and I decided to revisit it. If you want a glimpse into how cooked our generation (Gen Z) is, this channel is spot on. Makes me wonder if the stuff people vent about here is happening in Ethiopia or if it's influenced by US culture, movies, social media, and globalization. Honestly, feels like we're living/experiencing the same lives/stuff as US college/high school students. Check it out: @vent_here @selfmadecoder
